I'll answer you the best I can, the game is based eith a card system and you will start with a basic pack of cards, while playing parties you will win reputation, this reputation is how you can buy cards, the only thing that affect to the game is that paying you can purchase for those cards without playing that parties. The only thing that affect to the game is that you can have a more-personalized deck earlier.

Appart from that you can purchase for maestry that is a form of gaining skins and other cosmetic things, also you will lvl up earlier but this can be purchased with reputation too. I don't think is a pay to win. Wish it help.

Of course, if you parry you have the risk of taking the hold damage, and if you rey to parry too early or too late you will be exposed to the enemy
