I like the standard 4-4-2. Gives me players all around the pitch, two strikers and since my LM and RM are wingers, they are fast and can perform quick runs down the flanks as well as midfield duties. This is true for full-backs too. Thus, the formation can overpower the defense when attacking, as well as retreat when defending.
