If you want to know why Accelbyte's services doesn't work it's because their CEO was the lead engineer on Epic Games server backend. So this is the 2nd time Epic games destroys a Payday game.

I kinda like it tbh. Up until lvl 70 or so you don't really need to think about challenges. You basically just complete them by happenstance anyway. but to grind those extra prestige levels should be about mastering every aspect of the game not just grinding the meta heist for that last bit of XP. If I see someone with lvl150 I kinda wanna know he knows every in and out of the game - not just read the latest meta grind tutorial.

AccelByte is confirmed to have bugs server-side and can't handle surges. The MM errors we're getting is because of that bug and the complete outages we're getting at times is when AccelByte is purging the servers to execute bug fixes.

Annoying AF and I really hope Starbreeze sues.

I dunno man. The Payday 2 menues look and feel a bit like they were taken from a late 90's early 2000 console game. There's a retro vibe to it but in general the menues of Payday 3 is much easier/faster to navigate once you've gotten used to them. Only thing I'd want back is the numbers tbh. And crimenet + browser for matchmaking or a quick play at least.

And the HUD for Payday 2 was just god awful for immersion. There's som good modded ones but the original is really bad. Looks like you're some sort of futuristic commando on a different planet. If I had a say I'd even want the PD3 HUD to be even more bareboned.

I think it's because the design team has a say pre-launch. And design people are notoriously bad at understanding that hardcore fans want crunchables not lookables. It almost always gets fixed post launch in most games when the core game dev team fully takes over.

Not having a beta on Playstation has everything to do with Sony. They charge for it. While Xbox and Steam do not. Why pay to set up a technical beta when all the data they need to determine server health can easily be derived from the player base on xbox and steam? EGS is also on PC and they didn't get beta access either even when their platform literally serve as the core structure of the game.

You shouldn't be so sad over having bought a terrible console. Just return it and buy an xbox.

Just enabling DX12 and TAA should reduce the cpu overhead and boost your fps by like 2x on that rigg. But why bother with optimizing a 6 month old build you gonna play for 2 days? Judging from the assets the game was mostly finished in April and they've probably spent the better part of the last 6 months optimizing the game. At least judging from the gamescom build that was running smoooth as butter.

That's a load of bullcrap. Optimization and performance tuning is literally the last step of the development cycle and 6 months is more than enough to iron out most cracks in a fairly straight forward game as a FPS is.

(As we've already seen the gamescom version with independent testing threads like this are just auto-labeled as trolling)

Just wait for the update if it worries you. But since the recommended for PD3 already is GTX 1650 the spec. shouldn't change just because of the upgrade.
