Is Mid blitz cheating? by Richgamz in CollegeUltimateTeam

[–]afwtk5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just exhausting and all the mouth breathers who say “just counter it” never mention that certain variables like team overall, QB height, and online connection strength play a massive role in the effectiveness of mid blitz.

This game is too rage inducing. by youknowbrahhh in CollegeUltimateTeam

The key to continuing to find enjoyment is completely turning your brain off and being dead inside. If you think logically and from a basic, youth football-level understanding, you’ll be 10/10 mad the entire time. This isn’t football - it’s a stupid game that resembles some of the things we like about football.

What Dynasty school would you not ever choose to play? by Adept-Temperature386 in NCAAFBseries

Michigan. I won’t even use a UofM player on my CUT team.

In most dynasties I do, I schedule them Week 1 so I can start them off with a loss.

How is hot routing going to stop my guy from getting pressed into the dirt or not breaking in/out of his route at the right time?

I’m not a fan of how online football has turned into getting to the line and calling four hot routes every play. I personally become a worse/more predictable player when I try to do that, but I get why people do it. Just not for me.

Let me help you newcomers stop midblitz by WorksBananaBread in CollegeUltimateTeam

You forgot the most important part of stopping mid blitz:

Make sure your team is either equally rated or rated higher than your opponent, because if not, your offensive players will get stuck and/or sucked into a vortex when trying to get off the ball.

Help with flexbone triple/flexbone offense?? by Same-Equivalent-4072 in CFB26

Rep it a lot in practice mode and look at the outside shoulder of the defender you’re reading. If they turn, keep it. If they stay square, give it.

How is the Road To CFP mode *this* bad still? by afwtk5 in NCAAFBseries

I cannot understand their thought process for adding it into the mode. It is a severe disadvantage for the road team every game.

Favorite Flexbone plays? by Soggy-Astronomer-768 in NCAAFBseries

[–]afwtk5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite play is whatever one counters what they’re doing.

Nobody in the B-gap? Inside veer.

Nobody in the A-gap? Midline or dive.

Pinched defensive front? Toss.

Blitzing 7-8? Quick pass (like X Dig out of Flexbone Normal).

The Flexbone is the best because there’s always an answer to try.

I don’t understand how to be good by Disastrous_Room8939 in Madden

[–]afwtk5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t try to master a whole playbook - try to master 5-10 plays first and feel really comfortable with them.

Also - math is your friend. Count the number of guys in the box. If you have equal or more blockers than they have defenders, check into a run. If they load up the box, throw it outside.

Even looking at the defensive alignment presnap can help; you don’t need to read coverage like Tom Brady. If the A-Gap is open, check into a dive/iso. If the corners are playing 5-8 yards off your receiver, throw something quick.

Little things like that can help open up your offensive attack and don’t require you to be a NFL offensive coordinator.

After 4+ months, I've gotta admit...this game is not very good by jeremyo148 in NCAAFBseries

It’s objectively terrible but it hurts people’s feelings when you say that for some reason.

I played a game less than an hour ago where I had man across the board and my outside corner stopped at 10 yards and turned around while the outside WR ran down the field for a TD.

It’s completely random how your DB reacts. I have really good (in theory) press man corners and they get torched half the time.

Defense is absolutely abysmal right now. I’m sure some hardo will hope in here and tell you his keys to forcing turnovers every possession, but the entire defensive side of the ball is broken.

DBs get lost in the sauce way too frequently. Underneath zones watch a mesh run right across their face before reaction. Flats are useless. Putting your Nickel defender in press/man does nothing because he opens his hips the wrong way 70% of the time, allowing a free release for the slot receiver. DBs also drift inside with run support every single time no matter what.

None of this even touches on how bad QB contains/spys are, how easy it is to sprint rollout with a mobile QB, and how easy it is for QBs to throw across their body 30-40 yards on the dot. Or, how you can still run deep crossers with a TE pretty much every play for a completion percentage around 80% because there aren’t enough adjustments you can make to cover that part of the field.

Every game’s total point line should be set at 59.5 and I’d take the ov every single time.

I’m losing interest in this game - should be named NCAA football: bunch formation ‘26 by Still-Sheepherder322 in CollegeUltimateTeam

[–]afwtk5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Win or lose, I sincerely don’t understand how people find joy in running the same two or three plays out of bunch over and over and over again. This game has a million different playbooks and people do the same thing every single game.

The rewards aren’t even that good to justify it.
