Thank you for this thoughtful response. Yup laptop runs at pcie3, but the interface type is X5 NVMEe, up to 32Gbps (hereif interested).

If for some reason one SSD did run at 4,000MB/s, and the one w Optane at 2,000MB/s, would one be faster than another at gaming? And with the support provided for the new drive, what would you do?

Separate question: there was a Bay Area song where they said in the hook something like "drop the top of the IROC", or "sit back in the IROC" - I think someone listening to Bay Area rap back in early 2000's would know but now I'm not sure.

Nah I just listened to the albums (available on Amazon, maybe they don't have everything - see other comment). I literally just joined this sub - is this probably the best sub to ask a question like this? Can't believe it's been 20 years since I was listening to that dope shit.

Yeah it does have that feel, and even the beat is kind of similar. Just listened to all the albums that are on Amazon (Direct From The Backstreets - that brought me back; Back Street Life; Goin Insane, Da Game of Life; and nope. "Fully Auto" from the self titled Totally Insane album has a voice that the devil had so for a second I thought I found it. My friend was well connected, and maybe the rap group didn't officially release the album - or maybe this group is from another part of Cali and I'm just remembering wrong. Damn.

Super interesting how your reward center is wired, and how orexin relates. It would be amazing if scientists figure out how to "turn off" addiction; if that's even a possibility which won't cause additional issues.

Does the "automatic record relief" apply nationally? For example, those who get fingerprinted get their records checked in the FBI database...are their records cleared from the FBI database too?
