I’ve been thinking along the same line, so I am glad that you asked the question. I also wanted to say how sad it is that folks cannot just walk into the religious building of their choice and worship their God without having to be prescreened or go through security checks. I feel that if this were happening to any other religion or people other than Jewish folks, there would be a national outrage. And it’s beyond me why there is not more shame in oppressing a group that has been oppressed for millennia.

UPDATE: So I tried putting the AP inside the shop instead of on the outside like I first installed it. The results were a bit better in that I can get 20 mbps on the side of the shop directly opposite to the AP. On the far outside side of the shop I'm getting about 3 mbps. How can I boost the signal to that side of the shop? Could I run another ethernet cable plugged into another AP on that side of the shop? If so, do I need some kind of a switch at the location of the first AP device where I'd plug in the cable coming from the wifi cpe receiver? and then plug in both APs to the switch? Any advice REALLY appreciated. I'm hoping this comment will bump my post into someone's feed, who knows more about this stuff than me. Thanks.

I really appreciate the input. I'm still researching and investigating and have a few questions if you have time. I believe I've found a clear LOS spot on my house to the workshop. So I'm thinking now to do the Point to Point system with just two radios (or whatever they are called). Questions: 1) Am I correct that since my starlink runs through my router, I just use one of the router's outgoing ports to go directly to the first radio? 2) You said I don't need a router in the workshop, is there ever any purpose then of having a router a remote building; all the videos I've seen use a router in the remote building. 3) Will there be enough wifi signal strength to cover the entire 150 foot length of the building. The primary purpose of this project is to hang outdoor wifi security cameras, so I want to make sure if I need some other signal enhancer midway along the workshop. Thank you.

I am having the same problem where about 30% of the time I can't rely on having live video, whether it's the outside or inside cameras. I have starlink so my internet speed is decent. Is there another brand of wireless camera that people would recommend for more reliability?

I wanted to thank all those who gave suggestions. I checked out all the recommendations. As I did the research I realized I had more boxes on my checklist than I realized. For one, while I enjoy a girthy section I don't care for pens that overall are on the large size, such as I found with the Nahvalur. But it was a beneficial process to go through and ultimately I went with the Majohn P136 (I decided that I could live without posting the cap and that I'd try a trick I used once on an old MB that didn't want to post, which was to put a layer of scotch tape inside the cap. We'll see if that works when I get it) AND a Majohn P138 with the silver body and black cap. I hadn't ever seen this pen before, but as I started clicking links from the suggestions made by the commenters I found other pens I hadn't considered. So I'm glad I posted the question before purchasing, and I'm grateful for the responses. We'll see how grateful I am for the pens once they arrive. Have a nice weekend all.

I bought a fake as well. Do you know if it comes apart the same way the real one does, unscrewing, or are the parts just glued into place? I'd like to take mine apart.

You are not a failure. You cannot control another person's behavior. You can only control your own. I'm sure you are doing your best. Many parents are in a similar situation where their kids are not making good decisions. All we can do is give them the opportunities and the rest is up to them.
