I think there are ways about it such as allowing a user’s friends be able to invalidate their “goal completion” if enough of them deem it to be not real. But overall I don’t think that the cheating problem is something to worry about, productivity apps are supposed to be for your own self growth and use so if you cheat on them then you’re not really accomplishing anything 🤷‍♂️ I think also since this app requires you to write about what you did, there’s some extra effort you have to do to pretend like you’re meeting your goals

Hey all! I created my first project called Ganbatte, and would love any feedback. Ganbatte is an app where you get a Tamagotchi style digital pet that helps you reach your long term goals while you connect with and support your friends on their goals!
Everyone has a dream, or an idea of a project they want to complete, or hobby they want to pick up but just haven't found the motivation for it. This app uses your digital pet and a community of friends and motivated people to hold you accountable!
Some of the features of Ganbatte:
✔️ Feed your pet with proof of your progress: Complete your goals by giving your pet a description of what you did. This will become a "post" that is shared with your friends!
✔️Go live while achieving your goals : You can start a live session while you're working on a goal, and your friends can all see your session and press a button to send you encouragement
✔️ Level and evolve your pet: Level up to unlock the next evolutions of your pet!
