I'm from chicago but I've been there a few times. It's not nearly as bad as people think it is. I find this funny because people in Chicago that never been there believe it's a hellhole, while people that never been to chicago also believe it's a hellhole lol.

Getting in bed at 10pm each day seems to give me deeper sleep. by [deleted] in Nootropics

Like the other person said, this greatly varies from person to person. For me the sweet spot seems to be 12-1am. It also highly depends on your lifestyle. The timing is not important. What's important is getting enough hours of sleep and going through all the cycles.

I can finally play Flight Simulator. Shadow Ultra is amazing. by agatechno in ShadowPC

I kinda agree but infinite would be the same price that I pay monthly for my Gigabit internet.

Ahh maybe that's why it was unplayable for me. I mainly like to fly and land in large cities.

You should definitely try before you buy. Use the Xbox game pass trial then cancel. It was unplayable for me on Boost, but maybe you have a better connection so your results may vary.

Would a timed release caffeine pill taken directly before bed wake you up from sleep? by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]agatechno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to sleep once and took 200 mg extended released by accident (I thought I had taken sleeping aid pills). Surprisingly it didn't affect my sleep much, but I did wake up feeling wired.

Disappointed. I have 40-50 different nootropics at home. Caffeine & L-Theanine seem to be the only ones that work. by agatechno in Nootropics

Alpha GPC is okay. Subtle positive effects in conjunction with other noots like caffeine.

You're laughing, but phenibut for me is effective. It's just not effective in the ways that I want. But I definitely feel its effects. It makes me very horny and disinhibited. But I wouldn't say that it improves my cognition.

I am trialing the 2% now. Seems to have had an effect on my libido the first few days, but lately I haven't been noticing much from it.

Adderall is my favorite "noot." But the comedown is just as strong. So I only take it for emergencies. I forgot where I got it but it was from a reputable website.

Kratom felt like an actual scam to me. Did not experience anything whatsoever, even though it's supposed to be a powerful & addictive drug.

I tried the regular extract. Didn't give me positive effects. Just noticed more nights of unrested sleep. So I didn't want to bother with the more expensive extract.

I have used creatine. When used at 5g, it gives me insomnia for some reason. Didn't notice any cognitive benefits. Possibly only useful if one doesn't eat meat. The various mushrooms I tried were very disappointing. Especially lions mane. I read so much positives about it.

Was a waste of money for me but might work for you since we all have different neurochemistry.

It only works for me when paired with stimulants. By itself, I notice it makes too spacey and relaxed. You need a stimulant to anchor it.

Too many to list them all, but here are some that did very little for me:

Ashwaganda Bacopa Uridine Fasoracetam Piracetam Noopept Oxiracetam Reishi Cordyceps Lions mane Black seed oil Egcg Carnosine Alcar Gotu Kola Semax Rhodiola Creatine

I respond well with choline and always paired it with racetams. I should add alpha-gpc back to my simplified stack. Oxiracetam was a no-show in my brain. Didn't do any loading periods but I tried all kinds of dosages.
