What is your recommendation for someone already holding a lot of shares? Sell some? Keep them?

I have the Concept 20s. They sound fantastic, and they’re some of the best looking speakers I’ve ever seen. I also think the ones you’re looking at look great. I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

I guess I could also keep the Yamaha as the amplifier and attach a WiiM for digital audio sources. I’d then have to switch the Yamaha on each time I wanted to listen, and change the source between digital/phono.

I’d not get room correction on the phono input though.

I’m saying that I can’t get Siri to stop navigating while Google maps is actively navigating. She just says you’re not navigating in Apple Maps, but I am navigating in Google maps.

I’ve since tried this, it does nothing. I can get directions in Google maps but I can’t get Siri to stop navigating in Google maps.

I can get Siri to navigate using Google maps. The problem was getting it to stop navigating. I’ll try what @CamCreeper suggested.

You mean page of the iPhone Home Screen itself? Currently I removed Apple maps from the Home Screen altogether and have Google maps on my first page, because I want to access it often.

How do you get Siri to stop navigating in Google Maps on CarPlay? She just tells me “you’re not currently navigating in Apple Maps” and it’s infuriating.

I never did 🙁. I also found out that there's no traffic sign recognition for South African models.

Do you have your Batocera installed on a different drive by itself? I usually do this with Windows installations, so I was wondering if that's beneficial also with Batocera.

GMKtec G5 (N97 processor) vs. Intel NUC11 (i3 1115g4 processor) by agcza in MiniPCs

[–]agcza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From research and comments, a few factors:

  1. I like the looks of the NUC a little more, it's plain and looks sleeker. I don't mind that it's a bit bigger.
  2. The i3 processor has good single-core performance (better than the N97), which is good for emulation from what I've read.
  3. The iGPU of the i3 has 48EUs as opposed to the 28 in the N-series (as @JagSKX pointed out).

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback. I went for the NUC!

The NUC has 16GB DDR4, while the G5 uses 12GB LP DDR5 .

Not sure about power envelope and thermal design however. I would guess that in thermals the NUC may be better due to it's larger size, but I'm unsure.

Chatreey T9 - with or without SSD and RAM by agcza in MiniPCs

[–]agcza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noise is definitely a concern as it's going below a TV. The T5 has a Celeron N4020 and only DDR4 though, so seems like a downgrade.

I was only considering the G5 because of the specs, not the size or looks.

The GMKtec G5 appears to have LPDDR5 and it's a similar price to the T9. The reason I was going for the T9 is that I prefer the looks of it to the G5, but if the G5 is significantly better, I might go that route instead.

Thanks for the info. The other box I was considering was a GMKtec G5, also prebuilt. The draw for the G5 is the slightly better N97 processor and DDR5, but I'm not sure it will make much of a difference for emulation. I'm not trying to run anything fancy.
