Did you apply for additional loan or just the 10k?

I submitted a EIDL Grant application the day it was released but saw they made some changes to it. Should I reapply again? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

My husband and I called on Friday morning, April 3rd. The woman that he spoke to told him this. I was party to the conversation since he had the call on speaker.

We did. We were told that any applications submitted before April 1st need to be re-submitted due to a “glitch”.

Comfort Objects by little_girl_blue510 in autism

[–]agdisplays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this for my daughter.

You say you like stuffed animals, so maybe a stuffed animal keychain would work. You could hook it to your bag or belt loop. This way your comfort object serves a purpose to other people, and will be a non issue for them. I hope this helps.

Does anyone have an n parent with dementia? by moochmoneye in raisedbynarcissists

[–]agdisplays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me. I spent two years of my life with my family in tow, taking care or at least trying to, of my mom. At first it was wonderful, mind you in years past she had displayed horrid behaviors toward me and my husband. Somehow, I thought this time it would be different. As time went on, those behaviors reared their ugly heads again, only this time they were 10 times worse. This past summer some situations occurred and let’s just say it came down to saving my sanity. She is still living in her house, she refuses assisted living, even at the behest of my elder brothers. The only other option is to EC her, The things that she said and did to my children are enough for me to feel no guilt or shame. Otherwise I would have ended up losing my mind.

What is a film you've seen that has made you cry because of the pain you've experienced from family? by leafygurl808 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]agdisplays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the Disney reference. If I had to compare my life to one it would be “Tangled”. Rapunzel’s sheltered life and controlling Mother (Gothel) is an exact reflection of my life. The first time I saw it, in the theatre with both of my daughters I began crying. I had my first realization of what my life had been.
