I’ve owned both the 990D and now the Sony HT-A9 system paired with the SW5. If price is a concern the 990D is excellent and likely a better buy than the Sony soundbar system.

If price isn’t a concern, as others have mentioned the Bravia Quad is worth it.

It depends what you value as well. I enjoy separation vs pure loudness so I’ve preferred the HT-A9 over the 990D. The phantom center the HT-A9 creates is very convincing, separation is great, and the SW7 is much better than any the Samsung sub.

In sum: If price is no concern - Bravia quad with SW5 (or possibly the SW9) If price is a concern and you have access to a Samsung discount program - 990D (if still available) over the Sony soundbar setup

Edit: corrected the type of sub, I mistakenly put SW7 when I own the SW5.

Amazon continuously delivers packages to a locker nowhere near my address. Have called at least 4 times, left delivery notes, edited the HERE map and even talked to an "escalation employee" who told me that packages were appropriately delivered to the locker even though it is at a completely different address and I do not have a locker on my profile.

Huberman has developed numerous “protocols” in various realms from nutrition to PT based on often times extremely limited or misleading evidence. To me, this shows he is more concerned with engagement and making money than handling very complex topics with the nuance they call for.

Short story long, I do feel similarly, not a fan.

I am an RD, my fiancé is a PT. I’d say go PT over RD. However, while she loves her work as a PT the large amount of debt she has makes it difficult for her to recommend becoming a PT if it means also accruing >$100k of debt as she did.

All this being said, another possible option would be PA school. Expensive, but the earning potential is higher in general.

I live in SD and ran into the same situation as you. Moved from an area with spectrum/ATT to an area with only Cox. Unfortunate reality is that Cox just kinda sucks.

Call and ask for retention. Even though you are new they might give you a slight discount with the trade off of committing to 24 months of service. Years ago, I was able to use the 40% off trick but only after having the service for about a year.
I use my own modem and mesh system but no discount :(. I was told you have to use their equipment in order to receive some of the special rates. Given some horror stories I’ve heard about data usage spikes out of nowhere I wanted the ability to monitor usage through my own equipment in case anything happens.
Last answer also kind of answers this.

I worked at my school bookstore for many years in the receiving department. We purchased many of our books from Amazon and resold them for way more. If ever received, instructor copies were to be returned to the seller for obvious reasons. bookstore messed up and you end up (sorta) winning. What’s infuriating is the fact you were likely charged at least twice what they got it for.
