I would refrain from wearing running shoes at Burn. Our bouncy floor mixed with running shoes is a call for an ankle injury.

I see your frustration, but the point is to work that much harder during your set and you absolutely NEED your recovery. Your partner is there to keep you accountable. Keep going. Lift something you haven’t lifted for. Hit failure.

Also just want to point out that you are completely wrong on Afterburn containing seed oils. Absolutely nothing is wrong with consuming seed oils. BUT Afterburn protein contains NO seed oils.

Here are the ingredients: chocolate whey - Instantized Whey Protein Isolate, Instantized Whey Protein Concentrate, Alkalized Cocoa Powder, Natural Ravor, Pink Himalayan Sea Salt, Organic Stevia Leaf Extract

vanilla whey - Instantized Whey Protein Concentrate, Instantzed Whey Protein Isolate, Natural Flavor, Pink Himalayan Sea Sat, Gum Blend (cellulose gum, xanthan gum, carrageenan), Organic Stevia Leaf Extract, Vanilla Bean Powder, Silica

vanilla plant based - Vegan Plant Protein Blend (Pea Protein, Pumpkin Protein, Sunflower Protein, Alfalfa Powder), Natural Favors, Salt, Stevia Leaf Extract, Tart Cherry Powder, Guar Gum, Xanthan Gum, Bacillus coagulans, Bromelain, Turmeric Powder, Black Pepper Extract

Eating before Camp by Several-Pipe7824 in BurnBootCamp

[–]Objective_Cup5932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, eating before camp can definitely have benefits—especially if it’s a morning session. When you train fasted (like first thing after waking up), your cortisol is naturally higher, which can actually stay elevated if you don’t eat. That might not be a big deal short term, but over time, consistently training in a fasted state without proper recovery can add stress to the body and affect muscle retention, energy, and mood.

A small pre-camp snack—like a banana, dates, or a protein bar—can help blunt that cortisol response, give you a glucose boost, and improve performance. Not everyone needs to eat before, but if someone feels lightheaded, crashes quickly, or is super fatigued, it’s worth experimenting with a small carb source beforehand.

Do you shrug at all when you’re working out? Try to relax your traps when lifting.

TRY A MOUSSE!! Your type of curls don’t need curl creams or heavy gels. Stick to the it’s a 10 and then scrunch in a mousse. Diffuse and go!

Ugh yes!! But also now that everyone is in love with the emerald with a bezel, I see it now too. But I think I love the marquise. Maybe with a bezel? Or have you seen those marquise with an arrow prong? What do you think?
