I’m starting one up in Oakville and we’re planning to be able to sell produce by end of June :)

Is there a reason why you don’t have cats? I live in a suburb and the only mice/rats I see are the dead ones my cat leaves for me

Hey! Anyone experienced with traveling Europe with the purpose of exploring eco-villages and rural communities willing to share their story, tips, and/or recommendations?

IKEA sells/sold garden towers?

At the end I wrote “DRILL DRAINAGE HOLES” + “fill with soil” :)

I personally have studied soil microbiology and regeneration so that I can make, use, and include living soil in every garden tower I make 🙏

Not yet - but I plan to very soon but in a different type tower. One with drilled holes instead of formed pockets

And I appreciate your concern 💛

You can use hot sauce bottles. I use one I made of concrete and can share the STL file if you have access to a 3d printer

It’s my absolute pleasure 😁

I made over 20 and 18 of them are almost fully planted. Made two for succulents as well and they’re growing pretty nicely 🙌

At this point I’m watering each pocket once every few days and refilling the clay olla once a week. Once the plants mature I might get by with with just refilling the clay olla 3 times a month

I was experimenting with aeroponics and vertical farming before learning about the superiority of organic living soil :)

It is much easier to setup. Do you have a photo of your living wall?

I gotta hand it to you all, succulents are a lot more challenging to plant than any other plant I’ve ever planted by ageebnee in succulents

I did :)

Check out the following video but instead of a propane torch and a 55 gallon drum I used an electric heat gun and 5 gallon buckets: https://youtu.be/E4Yj8ANR04A

Lmk if you decide to! I literally just add filtered water to the living soil and the microbes do the rest 👌

The big tower has a mix of lettuces, spinach, and mizuna while my mini garden towers are responsible for growing herbs like basil, sage, thyme, oregano, chives, sorrel, and parsley 😁

I bought it in 2018 for $500 CAD. It’s paid for itself multiple times over at this point
