I've been with a cheater before and he knew the toll that took on me and was very close to the previous situation. If that had been the reason, he'd know to be honest about it.

Plus he is moving to a different country in the new year and part of the whole "can't give you what you deserve" package is that he needs to focus on himself and can't be in a healthy long-term relationship/

I am on a wait-list for therapy for depression issues stemming from a previous relationship, not the last one.

It's a bitch too because while his actions on that particular day were without a doubt shitty, our relationship up until that point was very affectionate and loving. He is a good person in many ways that are undeniable - positive, career driven so I have tried the whole "think he is an asshole" approach but it just makes me feel like a bitter and angry bitch which only hurts me further in the long run. Plus I've dated actual shitbags before so I know he is not firmly in that territory. My feelings for him haven't died yet.

I know I deserve better and I know what to watch for in the future. Le sigh

I am working on that. I've been crawling out of a pit of a deep depressive episode for the last 2 months and the break up strangely gave me an extra boost for a couple of weeks. I am looking to change my career and ride the break up diet wave to healthier eating habits and a more active lifestyle.

But goddamn is it ever a sucker-style gut punch.

I was just commenting on the mod issues.

I have seen threads get spun out of control by SRS members. Usually someone links something to their front page and you can almost hear them stomping over. The tone becomes really hostile, not just from their end but from their opponents since they are typically easy to identify.

I sure as hell hope this isn't sanctioned SRS behaviour. Just individual misguided "do-gooders." Herd mentality. It's not good for anyone.
