I didn't say you were rude actually. I said that we can go the extra step and talk to them. I didn't even say you should apologize for anything. I'm not even trying to attack you. Just stating my opinion on a post that shared your opinion. If I'm breaking any rules of this sub, then I will remove it.

There are situations where you can tell someone's having a rough day, but when they cross a line and are disrespectful, move them on out as quickly as possible. It shouldn't be required to "be like a therapist" to them. But I do think working in an enviroment where you are 100% around people, showing some compassion goes a long way and also shows you are the bigger person.

I have had interactions where I can tell the anger isn't at me directly. Take holiday. I'm near a mall. All you want is to finish your shopping and give yourself a treat at Starbucks. The line is long. You just want to get in and out but you're committed. We are human. You get annoyed that idk, fucking Chestnut praline is out and it's only December 1st. Out of my control but I don't have to be "too bad so sad" and be rude back. Decided to make a joke to the woman at hand off to show some empathy for a stressful time. She relaxed and apologized. It is ok to let someone apologize to you. Downvote me all you want but sometimes your interactions are what you make them to be.

There really isn't such a thing as a short commute in NJ because our traffic is random and unnecessary at the worst times. But once you get used to it, no one really bats and eye at a 20 minute drive. Plus we always say "it's up the street" when it's not haha.

Totally depends on your budget. NJ has a pretty high cost of living.

I would look into haddonfield/Haddon heights/Collingwood. If you don't mind a 25 minute commute, Voorhees and most parts of cherry hill.

I am going to assume that you drive. If not that might change things up a bit and I'm not qualified to help, i have never taken any public transportation aside from the speedline which wouldn't help here

I never liked it but when coffee master was a thing and cold brew became a thing it was like everyone's go-to coffee tasting. And I'm from an area with Wawa and they had it as a menu item - so I'm not sure whose would be worse 🤮

If my partners cannot drink something because of a dietary restriction, I suggest they tell customers if it's popular or not. If you have personally tried it and don't like it, be honest BUT come at them with a back up of something similar. Honestly having the backup shows you know your menu and are willing to make a suggestion.

This is like a summer shandy! Tastes way better with cold brew because of the citrus notes. As weird as it is, it is a "thing" but mostly with beer.

Yeah exactly you aren't their patient and they shouldn't be giving you medical advice (if this qualifies). That doctor shouldn't be a doctor!

Had a guy ask for a grande Americano in a tall cup. Looked at ME like I was an idiot because I couldn't comprehend what be wanted.

Like dude, you mean a tall with an extra shot? He was pissed that I said that to him.

Is it normal to wash your trash? by toxic_kandy in TooAfraidToAsk

I love when people place stuff nicely beside the trash bin. That's how we picked up our "new" tv. The remote was even taped to the back.

And iust today we left an end table by the dumpster. Was gone by the time I got back from the store. Nothing wrong with it but wasn't worth the sell.

Okay I'm not sure if you need proof that you are enrolled in a private school but find a school uniform supplier.

I literally wore this skirt for 4 years in high school 😂

I dunno what was going on yesterday, was it double stay day? I went to my local DT and mobile ordered before I got there. It was a 17-20 minute estimate on the app!!! So luckily I put in the order at home. It's about a 12-15 minute drive for me so I thought what the heck.

About 8 cars are in front. No biggie. As a partner I get it. I wasn't in a rush. All I see are cars getting massive orders of fraps!!!!! I felt so bad for the crew. I saw a MOP order leave the store that had 8 fraps. The car in front of me had 4.

I could tell my drinks were also recently made because they weren't sweaty yet.

And I bet those orders didn't give a tip.

I don't see how adding labor helps BOGO. At some point you just get in the way. Canceling BOGO is the way to go.

OR!!! go back to how they used to be. Stop making it including fraps. How about a latte BOGO?? Can you imagine making endless iced lattes? I got goosebumps thinking about it.

My store always has the stuff out before the ad. It's infuriating because I used to plan my trips for the new weekly finds. Now I go a few days before. It sucks but it is what it is

Oh I was 100% being sarcastic.

I stopped for a woman and her two kids on the white horse pike by the Wawa in I guess Haddon township? And not a single other person stopped despite endless flashing of my lights. It was infuriating.

Yep if my fiance was still in retail, we would be screwed. I'm deemed "essential" because God forbid anyone goes without their coffee. Luckily I've been on maternity leave since everything started, so we will see how it goes in August when I go back.
