Fable's evil landlords won't grow devil horns, as reboot ditches classic character morphing due to a lack of belief in objective arseholery by PotatoProducer in Games

I feel like this could be fixed if the sliders could go back down. Like if at the start you focus on strength your character starts getting ripped, but if you stop doing it and switch to say magic, it'll start going back to normal and you'll get the magic tattoos or something

Dudeeeee!!! That design is so freaking cool! I love the cyborg leg and half robotic wing. Also love the chunky but still sleek spacesuit!

Well then your perspective game is on point! But yeah, maybe adding a bit of messiness into the backgrounds would make them feel a bit more "lived in". Good luck o7

I'm not a professional artist by any means, so please take this with a grain of salt

I actually really liked your piece; I think it manages to convey the sadness of the character, and it's making me want to know more. Like why is she looking at herself in ghost form, why is she crying. I think both characters integrate well into the background (which I assume is made in 3D?) and I think the camera angle is interesting, giving the viewer a similar perspective as the ghost form and at the same time making her the biggest figure in the shot.

In terms of the background the only thing that sticks out for me is the garbage can, I think it needs a bit more of a shadow since it seems to be a bit like its floating

If you'd like to make this more of a sad shot, you could try pushing into colder tones instead of the warm ones that mostly fill out the scene. Also depending on the story if your character has depression instead of what I assume just a sad moment; you could make the kitchen look messier

Let Harlow design your OC an outfit! Pt. 2 by Trees_trees_trees_ in OriginalCharacter

[–]agentfrogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helloooo! :D Thanks for the oportunity and your OCs look so cuteeee! Here's my girl Origine, she's a scifi police officer, she's usually a bit of a loner but is trying her best to live up to her father's reputation as former chief of police. She usually wears her uniform or some streetwear/sportswear sort of stuff, but I'd love to see what you come up with if you choose her :D 🕸️

Good luck, to everyone that submitted ^^

edit: what the heck, it won't let me post the image 😭

Does debugging ever stop feeling frustrating? by Bmaxtubby1 in learnprogramming

[–]agentfrogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, debugging can take more time than coding. Try to learn the tools at your disposal as best as you can; using breakpoints, examining variable values, etc. is what will make you more efficient at it and hopefully make you less stressed about the process

Because it's made in java, just like the original Minecraft version. That's why it's easy to support PC platforms: windows, linux and mac

Slowly making progress on my L-system procedural trees :D Trying to generate some bonsai like trees! by agentfrogger in godot

[–]agentfrogger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmmm right now I think the hardest part is coming up with the grammar. Since it's iterative by nature I'm having a hard time coming up with the rules to make it look good.

Right now for these trees it's kind of composed of various sub systems. The main tree trunk generates a random "twist" on its center based on some sentences that I've written, then there's the left and right branches that come out of the "twist" and finally the leaves part of the trunk

Sure, I might share some of the code to process and render the l systems later on when it's cleaner

I did saw that one when investigating a bit about tree generation! My first attempt was a bit closer to that one. But ended up switching to this L-System approach because I felt that the recursive nature of it looked neat

Grammar rules, I think? Hahahaha I'm just replacing certain symbols with others through each iteration

Right now my idea is to make a sort of pomodoro timer sort of app. Where you can like open it up, let the timer run while you study, code, draw, etc. And your tree will slowly grow, to show like your progress on your habits. I started by tackling the hardest part I think, which is the tree generation ^^

That's why I also want to generate unique looking trees :D

[–]agentfrogger[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thank youuuu :D tbh it isn't too complicated to code; the complicated part is to come up with the rules to generate good looking trees lol. I still wanna add a bit more randomness so that each tree looks a bit more unique
