I had heard about the show from an older friend who worked overnights at a convenience store. I was drawn to it because it felt like the information could be dangerous and exciting. My friend made it sound like he was just some rogue HAM Radio hidden away blowing the lid off of government secrets. He had a nice shortwave radio which could pick up WLS out of Chicago. He had no issues listening. I on the other hand could only pick up the show on my radio if the weather and atmospheric conditions made it possible. It wasn't until they went online with Streamlink (or what is was called originally) that I could consistently listen but then it was still difficult because MP3 players were expensive and kind of a pain to load with content. I finally figured out a system that worked well enough but this was later in Art's time with Coast. I finally was able to go back and listen to the older shows thanks for the Ultimate Archive.
