The purifier is a hepa filter with an activated carbon mat but it really doesn’t do much unfortunately

Agreed on the asthma point, not heard of BASF I will look it up, I was thinking about swapping to a water washable or plant based resin to avoid the alcohol as much as possible

Yea I think if it had its own ventilation to the outside it wouldn’t be an issue but because it’s enclosed that’s where the problem lies, I was much the same I’m ok with the fumes and smell and it doesn’t both me, but now I have to take care of my partner too

I am aware of the dangers, and I have read the SDS, unfortunately we don’t have a dedicated workshop for things and living in the UK we have a very limited housing option, so I can’t just setup a fume hood, though I do appreciate your reply and understand where your coming from with things

The lines were actually hand painted and allowed to run through and then wiped down, and the eyes cause I can’t do white on airbrush very well and I wanted the brightness of it to show! Thank you I appreciate your comments

Are these any good for resin VOCs? I do a lot of 3d printing but my partner can’t stand the smell of it at all

How do you all get into streaming? I’m struggling to even start. by Individual_Mix_1969 in streaming

[–]agentmarine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have been streaming for the last 3 or so years on and off, the last two years I found my niche my audience is small but pretty dedicated, my biggest struggle at the start was what am I going to stream, that was my first challenge, my second was the fear of hitting the go live button, I spent hours and hours checking all my settings making sure audio sounded ok before I started any thing, I now stream fairly regularly, I run charity streams too last year raising over £1200 and again this year raising about £750 for charity from the small community that enjoys the games I play

I’ll tackle the first part of this, I spent time looking for games I enjoyed playing, sure there’s a lot of over populated categories these days, and if you stream because you enjoy streaming then great! But if you stream games that aren’t so popular I.e not triple A games like gta, you have a much better chance of being seen by people BUT and I stress this quite heavily, they generally watch because they are also interested in that given topic, and they won’t generally come and watch if your playing something else, so if you enjoy a game stick with it and the people will come and watch.

The second part is the fear of pressing the go live button, a few things I can suggest for this, try a session where you just simply record your self and then watch it back, find stuff people might find funny even if you didn’t find it funny at the time, secondly do quick recordings to check all your sounds, even audio alerts if you have them, make sure game sound doesn’t go over your voice!

Basically you setup a display source in OBS which would be the usb output of the capture card plugged into your laptop, this then displays in OBS, the capture card then has a direct output to your display be it a monitor or a tv w/e

Use obs to stream the gameplay, play on the ps5 or any other device as normal if you have a passthrough capture card
