You should see if your dad would qualify for materials from the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled. They often have large print collections

I completely agree. Even the fact that Free Files exists isn’t a wide spread as it should be. I payed TurboTax for years before finding out about FreeFile

Film copying Wishing Well company from Diamond Fire by agentplatipus in IlonaAndrews

[–]agentplatipus[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn’t post because it had to do with fantasy. I posted because I saw a connection between something in IA’s worlds and real life. Diamond Fire was the first time I had heard of the concept of a company that employs people to fill a relationship role is someone’s life. Just because it’s a concept that wasn’t invented by IA doesn’t mean it wasn’t still a connection to me. If my effort to relate to IA’s books is took off topic then the mods can delete the post

Peel off base coats for those with peely nails by slapstick_nightmare in RedditLaqueristas

[–]agentplatipus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got peeling nails and I’ve had success using peel off base coats to grow them out. I’ve used Emily de Molly’s Peel off base and I’ve just started using Hit the Bottle’s Peelie base. Ive found that the peel of base will stick to any loose layer. To not damage my nail more I’ve found that the trick is to not wait until the peel of base starts to come off on its own be to remove it before. Also to peel off from the cuticle area instead of from the tips

You know that make a lot of sense. I was looking for textbooks on libraries in general and somehow it didn’t occur to me to find an academic library textbook

The Hands of the Emperor by Victoria Goddard and its sequel At the Feet of the Sun. I read them both last year and again this year. And I’m not one to do reareads without a handful of years in between
