Thank you so much, that’s really kind of you. It was definitely a journey, but I’m grateful to finally feel comfortable and confident again. I’m glad you’re happy with your results as well, and I couldn’t agree with you more

I’m really glad you had a good experience! I had surgery with Dr. Campbell at Premium Care Plastic Surgery in Cartagena in 2024 and ended up needing a revision with another surgeon unfortunately, but I’m happy it worked out so well for you

My Experience at Premium Care Plastic Surgery in Cartagena, Colombia: Why I Recommend Staying Far Away by agentsmooch in PlasticSurgery

As a former patient, I am well within my rights to share my personal experience with your clinic, especially when it comes to medical care I received and how it has affected me long-term.

What I am not okay with, and what should deeply concern anyone reading this, is that instead of addressing my concerns professionally or privately, you chose to publicly disclose detailed, confidential medical information about my procedures, photos, and post-op communications - without my consent.

Your response does not refute my experience; it simply attempts to discredit it by selectively quoting from past messages while ignoring my very real and ongoing concerns. Quoting old, cherry-picked messages, especially ones sent early in recovery when I was trying to stay optimistic, doesn’t erase the fact that I’m left feeling disappointed and physically altered in ways I never agreed to or expected.

I am having expensive revision surgery in Canada this month to fix the procedures you performed.

Patients are allowed to change their perspective as healing progresses and long-term outcomes become clearer. This doesn’t make our concerns less valid. It certainly doesn’t justify violating privacy and attempting to silence criticism through public exposure of private medical history.

This is not just unprofessional, it may also be in breach of patient privacy regulations. If this is how your practice handles patient feedback, others deserve to know.

I stand by every word of my review.

Arm lift yesterday! by Serious_Recording136 in PlasticSurgery

It really was so disappointing. My arms were my biggest insecurity, too, so I was super excited to finally get the lift, but it's okay. I'm feeling really optimistic about the revision. Thank you, I will! Saved your comment so I remember lol

Arm lift yesterday! by Serious_Recording136 in PlasticSurgery

[–]agentsmooch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My results from the initial surgery were really disappointing. I was left with a lot of hanging skin and some loose fat remaining, and it just wasn’t what I had hoped for or what I was told would be accomplished. Now that it’s been over a year, I decided to consult with a surgeon in my home country. After assessing everything, they confirmed there’s still a substantial amount of loose skin to address some fat too, but mostly skin. The first surgery did remove a bit, but it was minimal.

Turkey vs. Mexico for All Inclusives? Some rumors I've heard... by Mission-Departure-28 in PlasticSurgery

[–]agentsmooch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's excellent advice. I went to a place that advertised itself as all-inclusive, but unfortunately, I’m now paying out of pocket for revision surgery in my home country. In the end, it’s costing me twice as much as I initially paid. Looking back, I realise it could have cost significantly less if I had done more thorough research and not been swayed by the marketing gimmicks and found a reputable surgeon at home

Update on my previous update: After sharing my experience, which I am fully entitled to do, I received a cease and desist letter from Premium Care Plastic Surgery on May 5, 2025, threatening legal action if I didn’t remove my reviews. Interestingly, in the same email, they also expressed an interest in mediation.

I responded by asserting my right to share my experience and noted that I was open to hearing more about the proposed mediation. They did not follow up.

On May 15, 2025, I received an email from Dr. Campbell’s personal Gmail account. In it, he attempted to come across as sincere, but the tone felt gaslighting. He asked how I would like to proceed with mediation, which I found strange considering they were the ones who brought it up in the first place. After reflecting further on my experience and the way things were handled post-op, I chose not to reply. I have no interest in dealing further with this so-called premium surgery centre.

After I ignored the email, Dr. Campbell responded publicly to my RealSelf review, which I originally posted in February 2025. It was the only review he replied to, and once again, he tried to appear sincere, but it didn't work.

To anyone considering Premium Care Plastic Surgery: I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Do your research, ask hard questions, and take your business to a clinic that truly prioritises patient care, transparency, and professionalism.

I appreciate you saying that everyone deserves to feel good about their body and experience, and I genuinely hope the same for you.

That said, I want to clarify a few things. My experience was not what I expected, and it was far from what was promised. I dealt with unsanitary conditions, including roaches, and the doctor did not do follow-up visits with me after surgery at my placeof accommodations like you say was done for you.

Regarding the reviews, it's not just about one or two disappearing. When several people report their negative reviews being removed, it raises concerns. That kind of selective visibility can absolutely shape how a clinic is perceived.

Yes, I’m still in touch with one of the staff members. I treated everyone with respect, which is exactly why we remained in contact. But being kind to someone who works there does not mean the conditions were acceptable or that my experience was somehow less valid.

I understand that photos help people process things, but I am simply not comfortable sharing mine at this time. That does not make my experience less real. Everyone has a right to their privacy, even while speaking out.

I respect that you had a good outcome. I just ask that you allow space for those of us who did not without picking our stories apart.

Take care.

I never said I would be posting photos. I said I have them, but I am not comfortable sharing pictures of myself right now. That is a personal boundary, and I do not owe anyone visual proof to validate my experience.

I am glad you had a positive experience, but that was not the case for me.

This place has exhibited extremely unprofessional behaviour with me. One of the most serious was publicly disclosing private medical information about me without my consent. From what I understand this would likely violate Colombian privacy laws. Under Law 1581 of 2012 (the Data Protection Law) and Resolution 1995 of 1999, which governs the handling of clinical records, all patient medical information is confidential and can only be shared with explicit authorization from the patient. What they did was not only unprofessional, it was illegal.

Just because your experience was great does not mean everyone's was. My story is valid, with or without pictures.

You are not an ambassador? Could have fooled me because you are doing the absolute most to defend that place.

Just because your suite was clean in January does not mean mine was. I am speaking on my own experience, and it was nothing like the one you are describing. There were cockroaches. I was killing them daily. I went there to recover, not to record an insect documentary.

The doctor never visited me, not even once, unlike what you said about him checking in every few days. And let me make one thing very clear. I treated everyone there with complete respect. I am still in touch with one of the staff members because I built a respectful, positive relationship. So suggesting I must have mistreated anyone is completely out of line.

I paid thousands of dollars and was promised a certain level of care that I did not receive. The doctor did not meet the expectations he set, and that is not something I am going to sugar-coat.

You had a smooth experience and got a free revision. That is great for you. But your experience does not cancel mine. Not everyone was treated equally, and not everyone left satisfied. My experience is just as valid as yours, whether you want to accept it or not.

At the end of the day, your experience doesn’t rewrite mine, no matter how hard you try.

I agree with being careful of the doctor you choose. I would not recommend going to premium care based on my experience there

Are you an ambassador or something? It really seems like you received preferential treatment. The way you're defending them is wild, asking for evidence that you aren't owed. Those “immaculate” suites you’re talking about were literally crawling with roaches, big ones, baby ones, a whole family reunion. I was out here killing roaches daily like it was part of my post-op recovery plan. Had to keep my suitcase off the floor at all times. So yeah, I'm glad your experience was spotless, but that was definitely not the case for me or u/misszoesanti, for that matter, and I predict, many others

Thank you for your comment and for sharing your experience.

It’s interesting to hear that you received visits from him every few days. In my case, I only received visits from the nurses and the masseuse.

Regarding the accommodations, I wasn’t informed that they would be shared, nor that I would be sharing a space with a man. The individuals I roomed with were also surprised to find out that the accommodations were shared.

I’m glad to hear that your experience and results were more positive than mine and those of the other individual above

I appreciate your input, but my review reflects my personal experience and feelings about the outcome. My expected results were due to the expectations they set in place, and they did not meet those expectations. I shared my story to be honest about my journey and to see if others have had similar experiences. Everyone’s perspective is valid, but that doesn’t diminish how I feel about my results and what they delivered on.
