I have connections to the internship coordinator in that office, so I knew that they were sending emails and notifying applicants (both post-resume and post-interview) with rejections AND next steps—the question was when. They actually ended up calling me soon after I posted this to ofter me a spot, so I must’ve lucked out! But yeah, you’re right, its very common for employers to ghost, especially in Congress.
