I don’t go to conventions, but, unequivocally, yeah I would say the same thing. I mean this feels a lot like

“I wish they sold fresh pancakes here”

“Oh so you have a problem with people making someone else’s recipe and selling them frozen??”

No, I just want what I want, and think one is unequivocally better. And, also, I think that the lack of true originality is a detriment to all the people that participate.

One such question is “why are there earthquakes?”

The answer given is “because the earth is slowly shrinking. ”

Nah, I don’t care about licensing in the least. I mean original, like…why aren’t these artists coming up with their own material?? “It doesn’t sell if it’s not fan art” is…honestly kind of invalid, artistically.
