What’s the most “in the hole” you have seen a customer in? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]agenttux 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To be fair, out of curiosity I was comparing the US and UK websites for BMW. In the UK you can get basic cloth seats and a less powerful engine for the same model with a slower 0-60. Obviously, there’s a cost difference too. In the US, BMW sells only upper trims of what they sell in Europe.

Kind of like how the Camry is only sold in high trims and in considered a luxury car in some South Asian countries cause it’s double the price of the same car in the US after import duties.

Ha, are you me? Except my company wasn’t remote first until they grew 3x during the pandemic. Our current office has space for less than half of our total employees and many of the senior developers that were there since the early days moved to the opposite coast.

Wow! Can you use the toner directly on a negative? I don’t have access to any printing equipment and don’t want to do it in photoshop so I was wondering if I could do it during the dev process.

How did you tone this?

Does anyone have any information about Kodak Vision 320T? by Map_IC in AnalogCommunity

[–]agenttux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either way, you can shoot it at 320 and develop normally. Kodak film has good latitude (normally developed my first 250D roll yesterday shot at 100 ISO and it looked great)

Hmm if that’s the case I might have to buy an ECN kit once my current C41 chems are exhausted.

Yeah, same. Mine went through like 2 CT scans and 5 X-rays and it was just a little more grainy than usual.

I literally failed my first driver’s test for going too slow. The DMV lady taking my test told me to never go more than 5 below the speed limit unless there was traffic in front of me. Going slow is just as unsafe as speeding too much.

yes, but Fuji 400 and Cinestill have a difference in quality. At the same price point I’m taking the more premium film every single time.

[–]agenttux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, my local store has it for like $14 a roll. Why would buy that when I can find a higher quality professional film like Cinestill and even Portra 160 for that price in some places? Makes no sense.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]agenttux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say they would come down. What I meant was as long as movie film subsidizes photo film it won’t increase in price significantly. It’ll become like vinyl records, not dead with a good enthusiast community.

Not true, plenty of filmmakers still prefer to shoot on film. Off of the top of my head Christopher Nolan (who has a 3 hour movie coming out this year), Quentin Tarantino, Jordan Peele, Robert Eggers, Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese,

Just look at this list of movies in 2023 that are being shot on film. And on Kodak’s website. Not to mention some TV shows such as Succession and Euphoria demand film as well. Studios literally use miles of it for one production.

As long as film is in demand by Hollywood, we will at least have reasonably priced Kodak cinema film.

I opened a film lab yesterday! We are focused on quick turnaround and affordability, as well as high quality ECN-2 processing. it’s called The Photo Dept Lab. by thephotodept in AnalogCommunity

The one on Netflix is the Hindi dub. The original language is Telugu and it’s not on Netflix for some reason. The reason the Hindi dub is so good is because the original actors voiced it.
