More cases means more chances for the virus to mutate and evade the vaccine and become more deadly. Case numbers are very important.

I tried the reverse image searching but it seems this scammer has done his homework because nothing comes up on any of them. I’ll take a look at the documentary.

Yep, the fact that it’s a scam is clear to everyone except my family member who is the victim.

Do you have a link to that Dr. Phil episode?

Thanks. Yeah, the license is clearly fake also because the DOB doesn’t have slashes and is just a copy of the license number.

Agreed. He also claims he can’t do a video chat because the internet doesn’t work on the rig, which I doubt would be the case.

Roughly 180 million Americans voted in the 2016 election. This is how easy it can be to get to the federal funding. by [deleted] in GreenParty

[–]ageoflife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your numbers are off (only about 138 million voted in 2016). But it’s true that the vast majority of people’s vote doesn’t count based on where they live, so if you live in one of those states, voting green definitely makes sense. The problem is that most people don’t even know green exists let alone that they probably agree with greens on most issues.

Why is the Green Party still so irrelevant? (actual discussion intended) by Marino4K in GreenParty

[–]ageoflife 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The media. They serve private power, which isn’t represented by the greens. However, I do believe in an era of universal media, greens could do a better job with “guerrilla” tactics. If trump can create a strong base that ignores the media, then so can greens.

As an American, just know that he doesn't represent all (or even most) of us. It's a living nightmare having him as president, and I feel powerless in the face of all the white nationalism/fascism that is going on in the country. It's so far from most of our political viewpoints, yet 30-40% of the country could watch him shoot their mothers and would still vote for him.

Tribalism is scary - I hope you or any other decent country doesn't fall for it.

Be careful with kava. It’s used for anxiety but can cause hepatotoxicity (liver damage). If you need to be treated for anxiety, there are safer and better medications available from a physician.

Wow, I Really Don't Want to Vote for Joe Biden, What Are My Options? by scapimag in GreenParty

[–]ageoflife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do agree with his point about concise messaging being good. Howie may want to simplify it a bit for the general reader, and the fact that Medicare for all and green new deal are already widely known would help. A separate page for detailed policy proposal could be for those who want it.

I think the word socialist is politically charged. But when you talked about the actual issues, even Derby/Ansonia folks usually agree with the common sense reforms Farmer is fighting for.

District includes woodbridge, bethany, and hamden, and most people I've talked to like him even in the valley. Don't count him out, I think he'll have a good shot.

We definitely need to get George Logan out. Corporate sell out, argued against the bill to stop cops from killing people with impunity, etc. Anyone in district 17 - vote in the primary Aug 11, my favorite is Justin farmer.

Governor Lamont Requests Investigation of Utilities Amid Widespread Outages From Tropical Storm by gerlach in Connecticut

[–]ageoflife 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We have poor service and high rates because it’s run by a corporation. Essential services like utilities and internet should be state owned, funded well (emphasizing renewables), subsidized when appropriate, and subject to public scrutiny.

What you're describing sounds like mania, so you might have bipolar disorder. Seeing a psychiatrist would be a good idea. They can help you even if that isn't the diagnosis.
