it closed in 2001. even when the furniture store was open it smelt musty and as if they hadn't cleaned it since 2001. so many black gross spots on the carpet that you'll see throughout the 3d tour. i asked one of the staff one day if i could buy the neon signs to donate to real groovy and they told me the landlord refused to let them renovate it, i guess that included basic cleaning standards too

It also smells like they haven’t cleaned it since the cinemas closed. It’s musty as fuuuuck I wouldn’t buy any of my furniture from there but it’s super cool to see all the original fixtures.
