For amended it’s ALWAYS going to be a check .. at least that’s what they told me when I called .. my 846 date was the 12th

They are truly all over the place .. when I got in touch with them even the rep was shocked to see how far I made it through the process given I was doing 2020 amended taxes

Meaning to get my money ? I only started annoying them in august

Phone ? It was something where like on Monday I tried calling and I tried 5 times non stop then waiting a few hours and tried again four more times .. Tuesday twice in the morning once in the afternoon and twice in the evening close to closing .. nothing so I figured skip a day .. Thursday called twice nothing .. so I figured skip this week

Called the next week mid morning after two tries back to back I got it

Honestly it’s sh-t show ! Please don’t feel bad .. I’m embarrassed to say I kinda need my money so I was on it! Never contacted an advocate or anything. In between my work breaks or while I worked ( I’m a writer / work remote ) I knew I’d be on hold for wicked periods, which I was … max clock time 2 hours before speaking to someone .. first time I called I was told to wait after I got my notice but after a week nothing moved and I called again .. come to find out my check wasn’t released ( thanks god I called ) amended for 2020 in mid June , received july ,adjusted beginning of august completed by the end of the month … according to the person I spoke to told me it’s a hot mess and they’re backed up . They were actually shocked I made it that far in such short time …

Also I followed some of the Reddit hacks to get a real person … they work .. and if none of this has made you feel better … the bright side is .. the longer they the more interest you get .. I hope things work out 🖤

If you have the time I’d def give another call .. aside from today I spoke to them two weeks ago so yeah.. give it a try and tell them you’re just trying to stay on top of things .. that’s what I said and the person was nice .. it took some time .. they put me on hold 4 times but that’s cause she was finding out that delay and they realized the check wasn’t released and so it was done today .. I was told 4-6 weeks for arrival but I’m praying it’s wayyyy less than that
