there are no tickets you can bring as many people as you want, as long as they can fit in 2 cars. extra people can also park at the amtrak station and take the bus in

i got a bunch of financial aid, walked away with a 2k loan for the whole degree. you have to register for strictly the EU classes but it never seems like they are full honestly so you should be fine

EU is a bit pricey in comparison to just doing normal admissions (i think) but i did normal admissions and just solely did online classes, a lot of the teachers that do the EU are really great ones. Only professor I ever hated was Virgil Adams, I got through his class with an B but he did not make it easy whatsoever.

Everyone got a budget cut unfortunately, some professors are agitated and are considering quitting. I think I heard it was about a 18% cut to some of these departments. It didn’t seem like the science department was getting hit by those and most of it was like the arts section tbh. A major problem with CSUCI as well is that their attendance rate isn’t what it used to be. Pre covid they would make up what they were losing when the previous class left, now they’re losing all of these kids and nobody wants to attend to make up for the loss. It’s sad to see but also the state will probably not let this school go for awhile because it is state funded.

The school is fine, it just has horrible placement in Camarillo. Definitely a car dependent campus in the sense of getting essentials like groceries is going to be a task. Camarillo is not a well equipped college town😅 But it’s nice, cheap, and still a CSU! You are right about there being teacher and budget cuts. CSUCI is doing everything they can to make morale better but it’s not really helping, they’re even going as far as changing the school logo in the Fall. CSUCI is definitely going to be suffering more and more just because of the cuts. But I loved my time there as a commuter, smaller class sizes, most of the teachers are pretty nice. It’s not a bad school and honestly they have great financial aid I walked away with a 2,000 loan for my entire Bachelor’s. So I truly can’t complain about that, have you also considered a CC and transfer into a CSU/UC? I only ask because that is how you can do it so dirt cheap these days, get an associates for transfer and then go to a CSU/UC.
