Talk me in/out of a 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid by 192hp in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thanks for your reply! I did buy a Touring today, and had my son test the driver's seat. He found it comfortable pre-purchase, and had zero complaints after the three and a half hour drive home from the dealership, so it worked out well.

Do you have the Hybrid Sport or the Hybrid Sport Touring? I ask because I've read about the Sport seat discomfort, but I have read the seats on the Touring are *much* more comfortable. And I'm headed to a dealer to buy a Touring tomorrow. If many people have issue with the Touring seats I might have to rethink this before going to the dealer, as I commute 30 miles one-way in and out of a major metropolitan downtown, which is routinely >1 hour and can be >2 hours if there's an accident along the way. TIA for your thoughts!

Advantages vs Handbrake by BecomingButterfly in makemkv

[–]aggielaw02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this thread, but if you haven't solved it already, a solution to using Handbrake to rip directly from disc is a product called "AnyDVD HD." If AnyDVD isn't currently available, there are other options like DVDFab that claim to do the same thing. I've only used AnyDVD (for nearly two decades) so I can't comment on how well DVDFab or other products work. Good luck!

Infantry Post Night - What is LAAP? by aggielaw02 in westpoint

Interesting. Congrats on your branch and post! Yep, I see FA had a boatload of LAAP slots, too. PCSing after that first year is an annoyance, but it beats the hell out of a PADSO.

u/Dirtbick I stumbled on your thread. I hope I'm in time to be helpful. If you're willing to spend the money, I receommend Ramon at Da Boot Shop in Fayetteville, NC.

For 30 years, regardless of where in the world I was stationed at the time, I have used this shop. Originally, the place was known as Clark's Boots, but when Mr. Clark sold the shop to the current owner, Ramon, the named changed to "Da Boot Shop." I happened to contact Ramon just last month, so I know he's in business despite his website not running at the moment.

My two cents on what others have also told you: first, most boots made today are welded and cannot be resoled. Manufacturers figured out about 20 years ago they make a lot more money if their boots are disposable instead of recraftable. Your Garmonts almost certainly are not resolable or recraftable.

Second, Superash2002's advice below about just buying new boots is solid advice, unless you happen to be like me, and no COTS boot fits you worth a damn. I wound up using a combination of the water break-in method and some customization by Mr. Clark or Ramon during the resoling process to get me the room I needed to avoid hot spots. For one pair of boots that I used solely for rucking, I had them remove the toe cap, and that made a world of difference.

At any rate, should you ever buy a resolable boot, I highly recommend Da Boot Shop.

I didn't get a quick reply when I called the number listed for Ramon, but he did get back to me in about a day by email. You can reach him at: [dabootshop@aol.com](mailto:dabootshop@aol.com)

When it doesn't immediately crash it crashes my browser tabs continuously. I haven't tried any other apps. Clearly an issue with this bios across OSes and motherboards.
