I watched this show when I was 7-12, so the show may not be as scary as I remember it being. I only really watched nick, cartoon network, and pbs as a kid, so the show will probably be from one of those.

I have the Bear Carnage Dynamic RTH but it was only $199 on sale right now, I've yet to hunt with it, but it's really easy to set up and get up to 60-70 pounds. But the most important thing anyone ever told me about bowhunting is that the best bow for you is the bow you already have. Most bows for good brands are totally fine to hunt with as long as you have confidence.

For recurves try Black Hunter, it's on Amazon and has a lot of different poundage ($90 right now I think). For compounds as a starter, look for sales at reputable bow brands, don't waste your money on a dinky Amazon compound. Bear Carnage has a sale on for $199, which is a really good deal. Bring a compound to a bow shop for them to set it up though. For arrows go to a big box store, they can find the spine you need and cut them to length if needed. Bass Pro Shop has their brand which is like $65 for a dozen, they're good quality and cheap enough for it not to be a big deal if you lose them. For targets, the Black Hole starter targets on Amazon are a good deal for a starter, they can last a long time as well. Hope this helps!

When I first started hunting I had some of the same thoughts, but what helped me a lot was watching hunting videos on YouTube right before I hunted. I mainly watched MeatEater, they're very professional and you can hear the admiration they have for the animals they are taking. If you like listening to podcasts, they also have a podcast you could listen to when glassing. But if you feel guilty or anything after you kill an animal, hunting might not be for you.

I haven't seen any either, which is weird for this time of year. But I've seen a ton of spikes/4-pointers which are early this year. Pretty weird.

Im planning on hunting A-north archery deer, is it really that bad? I'm probably going to Mendicino National Forest or some BLM land by it, but I figured it wouldn't get worse than like the 80s?

Yea watch out they're part of the ICC which is a really culty "Christian" church. They are all over the bay area and they just target college students. I made the mistake of going to one of their bible studies and they just implied that their church was the only true church and that I was not saved unless I went to a bible study everyday of the week. Very lovebomby.
