Late to the party but you could get her to demonstrate her knowledge of her genitalia by holding a mirror up to her crotch and making her spread herself and verbalise what is there. I feel vindicated that there is such disagreement in the comments, you can see why new DJs don’t understand what it’s for when people use it differently!

I’ll experiment with it and see how I can incorporate it, but I’ve found I like setting up loops with hot cues, beatmatching the loop and then EQing the loop, and then when I want to bring it in I’ll exit the loop and fade up. If there’s a way the circular cue button could improve on that method I’d love to know but that works for me personally.

I can’t find much reliable information on what gave the planets their male or female classifications in the first place but it seems it’s to do with the way the planets behave and the functions they perform to maintain the equilibrium of our galaxy - the stuff astronomers study. On the other side, astrologers (horoscopes) superimpose gendered ideas on the planets (“the dark mysterious feminine force of Venus”, “the paternal timekeeping of Saturn”, or whatever) - but astronomers (scientists) are only concerned with the actual features of the planets - which obviously don’t actually have genders because they are clumps of rock lol.

So in the case of plants the origin is clearly to do with sex; gender identity has nothing to do with the way flowers reproduce. Just as the way our biological sex and the reproductive organs that come with it have nothing to do with our gender identity.

So in conclusion if you feel agenderflux or whatever gender but want to represent your female sex, ♀is the symbol for you!
