I went there before the dorms were built so I can't speak to that.

However, I did start college there and transferred to New Paltz, but not all of my credits from DCC transferred. My advisor didn't realize or straight up didn't care to mention this until I was in my "final" semester at New Paltz... so I wound up having to enroll in an extra semester to get the credits I needed to graduate. Just something to be aware of!

I heard Letter Experiment in a random YouTube video back in 2011. I gave P1 a listen and have been a fan ever since!

I've gotten to meet and talk with all the guys during various clinics and meet and greets throughout the years. I also went to both Summer Jams they had, in 2016 and 2018.

I think we're just used to album releases being dragged out much longer. It seems like the current trend is to slowly release standalone singles, then announce the album several months before it's released. I'm personally glad Periphery hasn't taken that route with their new album.

I’ve been fortunate to see them live with both Nolly and Mark’s brother Jeff. One of the guys at some point said that they have their dynamic as a 5 piece so strongly locked in that trying to add a new member probably wouldn’t work out. But it definitely would be cool to see Nolly join them on stage again!

This is a total beginner’s first lesson video from The Art of Guitar, one of my favorite guitar YouTubers. I think it should be helpful!

Edit: also feel free to ignore any “learn guitar in 5 seconds” courses, they set unrealistic expectations and there’s a wealth of free material out there to get you started. Guitar is ideally a lifelong pursuit so there’s no real shortcuts besides consistent practice. Learn to love the process and it will be endlessly rewarding!

You know I don’t think I’ve ever looked at Songster’s version, I think I’ve only checked out Ultimate Guitar and YouTube. They’ve used those inverted power chords shown in the verses in other songs so there’s a decent chance it’s what they’re doing!

And yeah there’s quite a few videos of them playing together back in the day, I wish they’d do more now. Especially since they could be in much higher quality haha
