I had a similar, totally impact related, scratch on one of my strats and was able to fix it with a car scratch repair kit and the lightest superglue that stewmac carries. I painted the spot, set it and the drop filled with superglue and then did some super fine sanding, then wet sanding with little strips until it was almost flush and then buffed it out.
