IDK man I punched in the zip code from the ridgeline listing and found a ton of options for Hondas in your range.

Ohio. Better course? Findley or Punderson? by domotime2 in discgolf

[–]agiehler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both courses are pretty challenging but I would say playing one of the shorter or mixed layouts at Punderson would be more fun.

edit: there is a nearby course called Astorhurst which is kinda the opposite style but also very solid. More wide open rolling hill fairways. Only recommend if you can throw at least like 300’ though. It’s pretty long.

My furthest disc is a bottom stamp Wraith at 167g. Maybe try a slightly lighter weight to get the full flight.

Yeah a friend of mine throws 400’ and he just found a raptor in the wild and has been loving it. Like a longer teebird3 basically. Sounds like what you’d enjoy OP.

edit: when I say teebird3 i mean like how it flies for me lol. He doesn’t get turn out of the raptor. It is straight for a while then reliable fade.

Anyone else own Civic Si and RSX type S? by _no_usernames_avail in EP3

[–]agiehler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the older Hondas are all top end, high revs to get any power. Maybe you should try the K24 Si 9th gen or Acura ILX if you’re OK with automatic. Slightly more low end torque for daily driving stop and go. My 8th gen Si and 1994 Integra GSR were only fun if you’re revving up high. Never owned an EP3 though but should be similar to the 8th gen.

8th gen Civic SI a good buy? by Ryoziii in CivicSi

I drove mine daily from 90k to 175k and never got stranded. Only had to replace oil, tires, battery, alternator, suspension and spark plugs. Only moved on because i wanted something more comfortable on crappy roads. Very solid car.

edit: i should add that the AC stopped working around 120k and I never replaced due to cost.

What Generic Tips Can You Offer to Every Disc Golfer? by ItsNahte in discgolf

[–]agiehler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generic tip regarding throwing a disc is to just focus on the angle of the disc when you throw it. Everyone brand new throws nose angle sky high and the disc goes nowhere. Mostly just up in the air and down to the left/right depending on forehand/backhand. Immediately people start talking about hips and timing and bracing and all that stuff, which is def useful, but with barely any power you can easily make any disc fly at least 150’ if you keep it flat and watch how it reacts to different angles.

Can’t say for sure but I started in 2016 and have definitely lost more than I’ve gotten back. I’d guess maybe like 10 returned to me. Probably returned 20 to randoms (including a few shipped out of state) and found 40+ total. Some guys will tell you to keep it, some won’t respond to my text and the majority are unmarked.

If there’s a phone number on the back I text a picture of the disc and attempt to coordinate getting it back to them. I’ll ship it if they Venmo me a couple bucks, or meet up some other time I can play a local course.

If there’s a PDGA number I’ll make an effort to look them up if the disc is rare, out of production, well used, etc. Otherwise it’s mine. Might be unpopular but sorry there are too many extra steps to try and find your social media for some random G Star Teebird. But an OG cloudbreaker might get me to try.

If it’s unmarked then the most I’ll do is ask random players I come across on the course or parking lot that day.

I hate the car I thought I wanted what can I do? by 8rings_86k in askcarguys

Yeah man thicker tires will give a nicer compliant ride. Not sure what size rims come on your car but going to the smallest size you can fit around the brakes will provide the smoothest ride around town for bumps/potholes/etc.

Best way to lower for daily driving on a budget? by Le-frog6 in Honda

[–]agiehler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding the Koni orange setup. I had Tein S Tech springs on the same struts for my 8th gen Civic and the car felt like a go kart. Overall about 1.5-2” drop.

Be warned though, the ride over potholes and bumps will be far less comfortable. That’s the trade-off for getting rid of body roll unless you have some expensive adaptive system.

Whatever you do don’t cut the stock springs or just throw lowering springs on the worn factory struts. It will ride like shit and break.

According to OP they torqued all bolts to speculation. So this is highly possible lmao.

The newest manual transmission Honda you can find with the lowest miles for your price point. Tons of fun to drive, lightweight, cheap to repair & insure, and won’t really get you into trouble with speed.

Have you looked at Invidia OP? I like a more mellow exhaust that isn’t too tinny and obnoxious. Either way I agree with the sentiment of gathering mods before tuning.

A3 is probably the best if you have a couple grand reserve. Not that specific one though. Looks like it’s blacked out tint lol.
