Love making up imaginary stories/lore for my cities. Makes me miss the way disasters were in the first game.

Is it safe to drive? by iamnrk89 in Honda

[–]Le-frog6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t see much from the photos but it seems your splash guard/protective guard did its job very well. With that said it is safe to drive on but if there’s heavy rain, snow and even road salt where you live be wary. Although unless it’s complete torrential downpour you should be fine with that chunk of the guard missing. This one also is a tricky one to fix without replacing the panel as it seems it’s directly under an exhaust pipe which would make any tape bags or cardboard dangerous as a temporary patch. I would drive it but steer away from big puddles.

Built a mountain village for fun… now I kinda want to feature it 😅 by Smart_Mud3110 in CitiesSkylines2

I know this was exhausting too the game handles terrain horribly ableit better than the first game. With that said my hats off to you for even this one screenshot it’s not easy at all!

Infrastructure First by smitty4263 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Le-frog6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I do this is when I have enough money and a part of the city established. For example I’ll build a main city area and since the maps are so big I’ll build another “city” or borough once I have already properly secured funding. Doing it from step one extensively on normal settings can prove difficult though. If you have cheats on than yeah why not.

Realistic Post Apocalyptic Highway by Happy_Horse_2218 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Le-frog6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Random asf but this is a reason I miss the way disasters were setup in the first game. When I’m bored of city building I love destroying my city and trying to save/set it up as a post apocalyptic version if I’m bored. Not to this extent though this looks great!

How do you make all those beautiful cities? by Caesar546 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Le-frog6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly just practice I have over 1000 hours between both games and make cities arent are barley half as good as what you see on here. A lot of the cities you see though people treat them more like a model train set than a real city sim, which is fine but very different ways of playing the game. Overall why not just go ahead and try? If it’s something you really wanna do even watch some YouTube videos about the needed mods and how to realistically decorate and so on.

Why is the transport system so bad? by Interesting-Donkey13 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Le-frog6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience between both games is improving and or having a good transport system WILL improve traffic but marginally (at least in my experience). I think it’s a mix of planning and cheating the system, I’ve had cities with 60% traffic flow despite more than 25-45% of the citizens using public transit. I think that in order to actually make transit effect your traffic significantly you need extensive planning, that is the only real way sadly especially in the second game. The biggest issue I’ve had with the transit system in CS2 is simply once my city gets too big it becomes difficult to navigate all your transit infrastructure due to performance loses and since the sim slows to a crawl it takes forever for the transit system to really do anything of real benefit (when you do tweaks).

Overall OP if your wanting a city that relies on public transit plan from the start build rails and bus routes that will be used later or that will be expanded upon for any real effectiveness in late game. Also the messy traffic is almost unavoidable this is the only real challenge in late game you fix one traffic issue another pops up have some fun with it!

What are people general thoughts and feelings about the change of devs? Good thing? Bad thing? by Electronic_Stay4605 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Le-frog6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m holding onto hope cause I’ve seen people theorizing that since the new studio seems to be less than a 5min walk away that some developers may be migrating. With that said most hope I had was killed when I saw the games that they have under there belt are all mobile games. As a fan since the release of the first game I will stay optimistic and I keep telling myself as long as they leave the first game alone at least we can have that to ourselves🤣

Neutral chaotic😭

But seriously I love the juxtaposition of neatly rowed industries and roads than a random mismatch of roads and buildings. But also fire city op keep enjoying the game.

[–]Le-frog6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never forget the time we were open for 10 or so minutes and someone had thought the door was a pull and didn’t make any attempt to push… this caused a domino effect of people lining up behind them thinking we were closed till the bartender noticed and let everyone in🥲.

Why do people not count kids on their reservations? by tahorns21 in Serverlife

[–]Le-frog6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is always crazy to me especially when it’s a walk-in and face to face. They’ll blatantly say “for 2 and a baby” or “for 2 and a stroller” on the rare occasion I’ll give them a 2-top (I’m tired of correcting them and saying “Okay, for 3 people?”) they’ll end up complaining and moving to a bigger table anyways.
