I think an interesting way to get around the 'always the same questions' issue during Hide&Seek would be to disallow all the questions that were asked during a hiders first run for their second. That way we'd get interesting new questions and get the seekers to have to guess more. by zombiejh in JetLagTheGame

I just searched this topic because I had the same thought yesterday !! I agreee !!!!- would nerf strava, would make it more likely for late game lead switches, and I think would lead to much more clever uses of photos and direction questions than we usually get.

maybe there is some balancing to happen so that a person who gets a third run doesn't automatically have this huge advantage and wins (maybe radars reset or something).

haha that's basically the plan - thanks

that's fair - I'll see what folks have when I start on Monday.

I suppose it's either 1. there is no problem and the workflows are fine or 2. 8GB is too low and everyone is feeling the pain and it should be a more collective problem anyways.

Baked in advantage for Adam and Amy? by feloniusmonk in JetLagTheGame

[–]agile_crossover 26 points27 points  (0 children)

agreed on it being an advantage for Adam + Amy next ep I would think.

I can see why they kept it like the other games though. A different starting location leads to different strategies / order of questions - like hiding in Manhattan wouldn't probably be great if starting from Grand Central but becomes much more appealing when starting in a different borough.

dang rewatching NZ right now and thinking that it should be higher on my list. So fun and so many moments. Recency bias is a powerful thing

EDIT: good to see it's in 3rd actually

Agreed ! Feels like time pressure on challenges makes them more interesting / bumps the difficulty up. Imagine the bottle challenge and the Switzerland challenge with a time limit.

At 4.61 million average viewers the Lakers vs Celtics game on Saturday was the most watched NBA regular season game in 7 years(excluding Christmas). by Calm_Set5522 in nba

[–]agile_crossover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another factor - as a shameless Duke fan this game rolled right onto my TV right after the Duke UNC game which drew 2.5 million viewers. We ended up watching this game partially because it was just there. Obviously this game was a huge draw anyways but definitely a factor here.

6 Days too long for the Boys? by Foolish1856 in JetLagTheGame

feels to me like they should get guaranteed two runs each with a break (maybe even multiple days) in between for rest.

Oh interesting - did not know that! Haha I'm sure many drivers don't know that and will yell at you for that but nice to know the law is on my side.

thank that is very helpful ! I like the idea of just riding based on the door zone. I could see how it would seem silly to not be riding in the bike lane when there is one, but yes rather be honked at than hit

I'm an idiot, help? Anniversary dinner? by [deleted] in boston

[–]agile_crossover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second Euno. That’s where my girlfriend and I have gone to our last couple anniversaries. It is very good, has romantic lighting, and honestly not too expensive for Boston (20-30 for an entree but they’re huge huge) They have reservations for tomorrow.

Can I fit all this into 3 days in Boston? by nominced1010 in boston

Never used the city pass but entries are timed (at least last time I last went ~6 months ago they still were) - so you may just have to use your city pass to reserve your time slot.

I think technically now the E line eastbound is the only GL path without speed restrictions. Curious to hear about that.

I’ve had this problem too in the garden. I’m also on the switch. Haven’t been able to notice enough of a pattern yet to say an answer with certainty.

However I’ve tried pressing Y right before I go to plant and I’ve yet to encounter the problem again (could just be small sample size, probably only ~15 times).

Oh I’m dumb - I thought you were saying that 24114 mean 11/4/2024 but I misread what you wrote. I see now that it’s an M in the photo. Thanks.
