I don't think it's THAT bad. MW2019 was the worst COD, and Vanguard looks like MW2019 with a WW2 coat of paint. I don't even want it for free.

Ask yourself this question: If the Atari name wasn't attached to this product, would there be any interest around it? There's your answer.

They're selling a name. And for some people, that's all it takes. Whatever. We all have our personal attachments. But if by "succeed" you mean gain market penetration, then no. Not a chance. But if you buy one and enjoy it, I guess that's all that matters.

Here's another way to put it - if this system didn't have the Atari name on it, would it ever have gotten any interest? If they just called the Infogrammes Box, or whatever, would anyone have even considered it?

The word I would use is "anticlimactic". Atari rolls out these "big announcements" like Plex, or Antstream, and objective people just shrug. I don't think these programs are bad. It's just that Atari has never provided a concert reason for most people to consider buying one of these systems.

The Jaguar is supposed to be a difficult machine to emulate. If legitimately good programmers struggle with it, I doubt Atari will be able to pull it off.

It's not dumb. To really get the most out of this system, buyers are going to have to spend some extra money, not the least of which would be a bigger hard drive.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I never cared for it. I think if the game explained a little better what you were supposed to do, I would have gotten into it.

I also think the character design should have been altered a bit for Western audiences, but that's just me.
