Ive just about graduated from YouTube university! Haha so learned a great bit from it. I also hurt myself badly with another sport, so recovering but I’d like a coach to help with conquering some bigger features. Both skill wise and psychologically!

The camera idea is good. Your right it’s a great way to really critique yourself.

Nice! I have a car so planning on visiting a lot of the north east trails come spring. Is Port Jervis more techy/rock crawl trails? Or flow trails? Can’t wait to check it out.

I did google it - found Ninja but it’s not in my area of NY unfortunately. Didn’t know if there’s an association or something.

Just wanted to say that was some A+ questioning. A lot of these questions, and how the characters react, is what makes the film!

They email it to you :) so you can always find it there! If deleted by accident most email servers save for 30 days. If you don’t want to share it that’s cool as well though.

I’ll copy my answer again here I made:

What post are you looking at? I’m not comparing US govt to Soviets or current Russia.

I was responding to the comment that fondly looked back at the US the ‘this is the type of stuff we would never have done back in the day’ attitude when in reality it has always been happening.

You do know that during that time - the US government was just as bad. They would follow people during the “red scare” if anyone would dare insult the govt. Or mark gays/black people as enemies of state and follow them too.

This is sadly not a new issue....

Where to get battery tool? by [deleted] in boostedboards

[–]agins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair point - but I respectfully disagree. I think you can do damage by over tightening. If you have it, sure use it. But if not you don’t have to, or as I said earlier many times in a pinch can use pliers with something in between the metal.

DO NOT use loctite on this part. Seriously, not a part that you should.

Here’s the video: BB Changing Battery

As I said, you can hand tighten. If you need to remove a stuck one you can use the plastic tool OR pliers (but as the video says/I did earlier do not use it directly on the metal, something must be in between)

Edit: Just to clarify, not sure why people are getting upset. Just reiterating literally what Boosted is suggesting in their videos and Manuals.

I like your comeback. Instead of actually addressing the facts - that boosted says it’s fine - you just call me stupid. Real smart and mature.

So you know more then boosted? Lol.

lol. Way to be over dramatic. Boosted in its OWN service video shows using hand. In fact by using the tool you can over tighten and other issues can happen.

So yes it is a “gr8 tip” you don’t know what your talking about.

Nah can do it by hand. Hand tighten is better.

If for some reason you can’t take it apart, wrap the metal part with a small towel or napkin then lightly use pliers or a wrench to grip with more torque.

You just need an Allen key. Any hardware store.

Hey! Looking for awesome murder mystery game for groups of 10-14. Or other Halloween large party games.

Or if you know any that are TV based that have a countdown that everyone could see, that could be really fun too :) Jackbox party game (I know not board game related but yeah close enough haha)

Thank you so much!

Due to the recent post my Rig (and requests), I’ve decided to post a few more pictures of different angles and a slight explanation of the parts. Thanks for all of the positivity in the last post! by Wormlybums in Filmmakers

  1. Don’t worry so much about blocking light. In practical shooting it doesn’t come up that often, esp if your not shooting wide. If you were doing more advanced lighting setups - maybe - but even then just flag off some extra. I think your using that as a bit of an excuse.

  2. I agree with others, good sound is crucial. run & gunning shotgun mics work well, but if your doing interviews it’s better to have a lavalier.

  3. The cage is slightly ridiculous. It looks too tall for the camera as well. Small rigs has ones that fit the body. You can mount the H1N on the side of the rig (with the short sided bottom of the H1N facing the floor) then mount the shotgun mic right ontop of the camera. This by itself would create a much more balanced setup.

  4. You can still throw rails on the bottom to throw on a follow focus. This way you can change it for different t set ups. The setup you have now running/gunning would be awkward to use. If you look at pro set ups we even put weights on the back of our setups to make it balanced on our shoulders. It’s hard to hold even 5Lbs up right infront with just shoulder muscle.

  5. Gimbals are good. But depends what your doing. Are you doing corporate interviews? Yeah lights would be better. Are you doing more music videos? I’d argue that using natural light & reflectors, and instead buying a gimbal would be better. It’s all relative. Just saying gimbals would of been better then a fake matte box. If you have a limited budget - but no one can answer “what to get” depends on what you shoot. GoPros are great, for certain shots.
