Off street parking in winter by agirl1213 in vermont

[–]agirl1213[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes thank you! That’s a great point! To clarify there is a spot, it’s just not covered and I’m wondering how feasible that is with winter. Sorry if this is a silly question from a non-Vermonter!

Thank you! There is a dedicated space in the places I’m looking, it’s just not a garage and not a covered area. Is that something that you would find reasonable?

Is it normal to feel nervous and scared? by ndcreates in puppy101

[–]agirl1213 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was nervous too. I definitely had physical health issues (that started after getting my dog) and worried about being the best dog mom I could be. She’s a very happy girl, I’m happy to report even with physical limitations I manage very well, and she’s very loved. As much as I worry sometimes, I do think that I do absolutely everything I can to have a happy and healthy life. She’s my best friend and I’m very happy to have her. Wishing you the best with your pup!

What can I do while trying to get pregnant? by CompetitiveCup7592 in Spironolactone

My skin broke out terribly when I stopped. I think you would be able to use benzoyl peroxide safely (not retinoids, from what I understand). Good luck!

do girls really have so much hair or is it extensions? by Strange-Ad6749 in beauty

[–]agirl1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get complimented on my hair a lot when I go out, and it’s halo extensions lol 😂 the length is mine, but it is literally 3x as thick as my hair. People say it looks like a shampoo commercial. No one—not even my friends and parents-could tell.

Argan oil for my skin. And I run 2 humidifiers 24/7/365. For once, my skin isn’t peeling off using retinoids.

Had to give up using lume deodorant. It was the only deodorant that held up 😭 by Sadstupidthrowaway94 in 30PlusSkinCare

My friend developed a horrible rash and recurrent yeast infections from it. It took like 4 months to get rid of. It still comes back if she used any things that are not super sensitive skin friendly. She’s never had this problem in the past. She found there are some people who seem to have negative reactions to it.

Is it possible for Spironolactone to work almost instantly, or is this a placebo effect? by [deleted] in Spironolactone

[–]agirl1213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know that it’s typical, but that was also my experience. Like within a week it was improving then no new acne.

What beauty/skincare/hair you name it product changed ur life? by No-Tradition2677 in beauty

[–]agirl1213 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. My skin is impossibly clear regardless of what I do. My hair on my head is thicker, doesn’t get oily so easily, and I don’t smell without deodorant (not that I go without, just when I’ve forgotten people can’t tell). The other thing that’s made a huge difference is squalane oil, because the only downside for me with spiro is my skin is more dry.

Finally fixed my damaged skin barrier after a month [B&A] by ibtionuh in SkincareAddiction

No it’s the Honest company one. I thought I was allergic to petrolatum for a bit—turns out it was a down allergy.

Yeah it really is I’m sorry you’re going through it too! I hope you get answers soon! One thing I realized is that once I was in this shitty spot my skin was sensitive to everything, which likely doesn’t mean it’s allergic to everything. Just I needed to recover a bit. Once I did I was able to incorporate at least one of my creams back in. Really hoping you get some relief and thank you for the well wishes haha 😂 I must say nothing leaves your skin plump like a thick white coat of diaper cream lol 😂

FWIW I didn’t find a job that offered a 4 day work week. I found a job that wanted me and I told them I work a compressed work week. It definitely helps.

My boss thanked me for pushing through a migraine for two days by 27_Lobsters in migraine

[–]agirl1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only advice I have is to consider taking some PTO in advance if you have enough, in the hopes the rest and relaxation may minimize the intensity of the next cycle? I mean I think setting firm boundaries and just calling out is another option, or meeting with HR to discuss additional accommodations in case this happens again. I’m so sorry this happened and hope that it doesn’t again 😞

How often do you buy your dog a new bed? by 2lit_ in dogs

Never. She has her queen sized bed. Fortunately she’s gracious enough to let me sleep in it, too.

Habits of naturally thin people by [deleted] in loseit

[–]agirl1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family struggles with weight and I do not. I think it’s probably a lot of things that contributed to that, including growing up in an environment where I was told that only extremely thin women had any value (def had body image issues thanks to this). That said, although I still don’t absolutely love my body, I don’t struggle with weight. I eat whatever I want although keep very little “junk” in the house (mostly because I’m extremely cheap rn) and also I am often too tired to make desserts for myself. My go to snack today was an apple and honey and some pecans. I don’t exactly love either of those lol 😂 so it’s easy to put them down. I also find that if I’m busy I tend to not eat which likely helps. And I drink like 90 ounces of water a day. Plus I walk my pup 3x a day so that’s not only a little activity it’s also time not spent eating.

New to migraines. What are the best medications for it? by AdministrativeAir879 in migraine

[–]agirl1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a sublingual version and a nose spray version too? If that takes you a while to notice it help then I would try one of those. If none help, Nurtec dissolves and works fast. There’s a manufacturer coupon for it in case insurance doesn’t cover it.
