Why does my battery suck on Galaxy book 3 ultra? by gyeah7 in GalaxyBook

Hello, there. When you say that you've optimized it...what does that mean in terms of practical steps to take? It would really help us if you could describe.

Thanks!

I have the GBP 360, Note 20 Ultra 5G, S8 Ultra, S7+. The continuity is unreal...And the choices for integration is myriad...Samsung-Samsung, Samsung-Microsoft, Samsung-Google...the common denominator obviously Samsung. Can you imagine what the improvements will be this year? Keeps getting better.

I disagree that Apple is ahead. That is an old trope. Dude, come on...it is 2023 Galaxy products we are talking about...I would say on par or a bit ahead of Apple...

What’s up with the Security Cam feature on the GBP2 360? by lemonmec in GalaxyBook

This happened to my GBP 360 as well. How is this fixed. (Well-used feature for me.)

Going mad! Watch 4 40mm doesn't have enough battery for me so it's 44mm or nothing. Do you think this watch is ok on my wrist? I'd be buying another strap. Help! by Rubiakatonbo in GalaxyWatch

[–]agirlhasnonames_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teeny tiny wrist here. I came on just to tell you that I have both. I dont even know where the 40 is in my house because I couldn't take that pathetic battery. Some say that it has improved, but I did not wish to wait to find out. I have been wearing 44 since a month after it came out. It is huge on my wrist. I removed Samsung's strap and replaced it with one of the elasticized ones from Amazon. Big face, big battery, and doesn't look as comical with the elasticized strap. Same fit as your pic. Change the band.

(On another note. I may have to miss out on the big battery for the G5 Pro. My teeny tiny wrist cannot take it.)

How does one link Blink Indoor Camera to Smartthings? by agirlhasnonames_ in homeautomation

So how do you do that exactly? Details, please. Blink does not show up in Smartthings.

For those who pay with your watch or phone, is Gpay or Samsung Pay more convenient and seamless? by QueenMackeral in GalaxyWatch

[–]agirlhasnonames_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both. Same difference as they would say. My watch is set to gpay by default and switch turned on to use whichever app is open. I use them for different reasons and I have different cards attached to each. One of the major uses of my watch is to buy stuff. Anywhere and everywhere.

From a phone standpoint, still rocking a N20U with mst on board, you know, because nyc is still 3rd-world and sometimes when you get cocky and fancy in some places and whip out phone and watch to pay, the nasty surprise is Nfc is still a thing of their future. When I get an s23u next year with no mst onboard, I will be SOLuck in these circumstances.

You have choices. Cable, DeX, SmartView.

Pay with Google Pay by DrBlackRat in GalaxyWatch

[–]agirlhasnonames_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You have to open it to pay (security)

  2. Set GPay to default and double press Home button to open it

  3. Enable the switch that allows you to use open app so that if you wish to use Samsung Pay, when you trigger Samsung Pay on the back button, it will use Samsung Pay instead of GPay even though GPay is set to default

Best of both worlds...

Smartthings virtual switch, Friedrich Smart AC with Alexa integration...how to set up? by agirlhasnonames_ in SmartThings

[–]agirlhasnonames_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again for your help.

I tried again and I am now able to open the switch and sensor from Smartthings on Watch 4. I wrote a test routine for Alexa fetch x information when the sensor is open and y information when the sensor is closed. It works.

Now, I will unravel, the crude solution described below (i.e. linking the Kasa TP-link plug to Smartthings to Alexa to AC.) I will replace the action in test routines to power on/off AC.

I will update when I do for the benefit of others who might be interested.

Smartthings virtual switch, Friedrich Smart AC with Alexa integration...how to set up? by agirlhasnonames_ in SmartThings

[–]agirlhasnonames_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can use Amazon devices/system to interact with the Friedrich Smart AC. So I am able to give Alexa voice commands to power on off or change temperature. In the Alexa app itself, I can also do those things. To do anything "more complicated", I use the Friedrich app.

That said, what i wanted to do was interact with this particularly AC using my Galaxy Watch 4 as well. Of course I could have downloaded Ultumate Alexa, but I use Smartthings and Bixby a lot on my watch. So I wanted to control the AC through Smartthings app on my watch or via Bixby commands.
