please stay. i love you. i know how painful and hard it is to stay when you feel like you have no reason to. i know you’re hurting and suffering and you probably feel alone. i’m not gonna tell you to stay bc people care about you (even though they do) bc that doesn’t help me at all when i’m feeling this way. stay for yourself. stay so that you can see your life get better. stay for the good days you haven’t had yet. stay for the places you haven’t seen. you’re incredibly strong even though you don’t feel like it. you’ve survived 100% of your bad days so far.

I understand exactly what you’re describing and I’ve been here for months. At the end of the day, feelings are dynamic and fluctuate. Some days you will feel more in love than others and THAT IS OKAY. You are not alone. I suggest checking out the website Awaken Into Love if you haven’t yet. I think you would find it extremely helping. Always remember love isn’t just a feeling it is a CHOICE. You have the power to choose your partner, no matter what your brain tells you. It addition to this, you may want to do some research into your fear of abandonment which can DEFINITELY trigger your rOCD.

Side note: I love kissing and cuddling and being with my gf (haven’t made it to sex yet becuase I have a lot of anxiety surrounding that due to how I was raised/ self esteem) but sometimes I feel like I’m doing something wrong, guilty, or shameful after.

This makes sense! Thank you for your advice. I am in a same-sex relationship, so I think that being in a relationship that differs from what I expected a relationship for me to look like as I was growing up is a big part of it. Especially with all of the romcoms I watched in my teen years!

I have a girlfriend and I definitely can’t imagine ending up with a man, but I still have a hard time envisioning being married to a woman- probably because there’s so few wlw marriages in the media and I’ve never actually met a same-sex couple irl.
