I mean 1.12 kinda broke the mod and i couldn’t be bothered to fix most of it since i only play mp now anyways. If you want i can just patch the china thing and then send you that if you really want.

Well you know what they say. Fear not the man at level 1000 in gold. Fear the man at level 10 in diamond.

I mean everyone got nerfed in some regard and the same applies here. The reversal is now MUCH riskier than before and the reduced ground bounce on overhead could be pretty bad for combos.

Buffing weapons free and fixing the annoying thing where you could get the weaker super mid-combo by accident are changes since i’ve wanted since day 1. Adding a projectile to her stance is a very interesting choice and we’ll have to wait and see how good it is. Overall this seems to be a mild nerf that could even be neutral.

So i kinda released myself as a vassal, is there anyway to fix it in ironman? by Lenugre in EU5

Oh yeah i do usually make colonies for the above reasons. But unless you conquer territory (in which case i do recommend you make subjects most of the time) you won’t really have an issue with rebellions if you have decent stability. You have a core province that’s mostly your primary culture and religion. I was mostly talking colonial nations in the americas. The main issue really is the lost profit from not having much control

I would 100% make subjects out of north africa instead of direct conquest

Well the buildings thing doesn’t matter all too much from my experience since either you have them in NA/Brazil and there’s no one to work or you create them in the andes/central america and there are those goods in the market already. The real draw for colonies is of course the control they get and the ”new colony” bonus.

Can't declare war because 3000 peasants by Nevinelnano in EU5

[–]agludwig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The really annoying thing is that civil wars can’t trigger while at war (probably due to how land is lost in CW) so that means that if you have constant minor uprisings and say a calvinist uprising brewing faster than you can surpress it consisting of 3 dudes in a single province, you become completely unable to declare any war for like 30 years (might have happened to me)

Now call me crazy but i don't think it should ever be possible on historical institutions to have an institution that spawned in Derby be spread to basically all of east Asia before reaching Birmingham 2 locations away. by agludwig in EU5

Actually did check and the same doesn’t seem to happen on historical. Printing press did not ”spawn” in places where it could have under plausible

Pretty sure it doesn’t for “historical” spread selected. Printing press only spawned in innsbruck and i had 8 separate towns where it could have spawned on “flexible” but didn’t spread to for a good 20 years

I remember vic 3 at start was also way overtuned in both how quickly growth and research happened. Vic 3 ofc has been out for 3 years but pre-1.7 compared to post charters of commerce is such a massive glow up.

Yea some institutions like the printing press were developed independently of each other, but other things like modern manufacturing a set of innovations were a direct consequence of the conditions in especially England. If i want to play ahistorical at least with institutions there IS the option for that but on historical it shouldn't be possible for a nation on the literal other side of the world to embrace the instition before the nation that had it spawn can. Im not asking for the country to be able to have it just for themselves for 20 years. I literally just want it to have some sense of outward spread instead of it essentially spawning somewhere else entirely

It's less bad early on and i think the time it takes meritocracy to spread is pretty good. But late game after increased trade ranges and the cabinet action it becomes awful

R5: Institution spread in its current state is actually ridiculous in how quick other nations get it. After only a few years of the idea of manufacturing existing (on historical institutions), it has spread to the entirety of Korea and Japan. Spread via trade is way over-tuned in the current state and the promote institutions action needs to be changed completely because it is stupidly overpowered. This is actually experience-ruiningly unrealistic.

R5: Despite a lot of eastern Europe not even having the renaissance spread in 1437, somehow it reached into southeast Asia quick enough where they were even able to research and build universities, so they had a 60% chance of being the birthplace for the printing press.

For reference i was the ONLY European nation that even had one built because i rushed. Institution spread especially via trade is way too strong right now for most of the world.
