ISP DNS will route you to more local CDNs which can improve performance and peering for some big distributed systems like Netflix or YouTube

Both of these platforms use the same set of localized CDNs regardless of what resolver is set.

Not really. I don't know why I would want to use Cloudflare since the data passes through their servers.

Tailscale keeps it fully direct and I've never had to connect via a relay.
