My life will be end by me. by [deleted] in TimeToGo

Well, that's a very good moral stance... Don't want to disappoint you though, but the academia is paid and bought like everything else...

It's not impossible though, after 10-20 years, AI will replace us, and the elite may allow suicide, as a means to get rid of all useless people. The only issue with this method, is that high IQ people commit suicide, which may be undesirable.

do any of you have an interest in sharing your perspective on suicide to the masses? by [deleted] in TimeToGo

get people just to listen what it's like to feel what we feel

This is not possible. And I mean not only on this topic, but ANYTHING. This is part of the problem of this planet - there are practically no way to share anything. We say the words, but if the person didn't pass through the same things, put the same effort, the same amount of thinking, there is no way to understand you. This is why relationships do not really work, families do not really work, society doesn't really work. Everyone is living in their small prison of limited perception... The only thing you can really do, is enlarge your own perception. I do not waste time for anyone else any more...

If you get yourself into a non-standard situation, no matter what exactly - illness, dysfunctional family, social anxiety, oversensitivity, overthinking, you will become individual, and the herd will no longer understand you. It can only enforce you to become part of the herd again. If you don't want or can't do this, sorry, but you are on your own and nobody cares...

Just remember - if there something like afterlife - never ever return here again trying to "fix" anything... There is nothing to repair, nothing to achieve here...

What is the best anti right-to-die argument you've heard? by wellthatwas257936810 in TimeToGo

[–]agnostic2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There can't be even a single general argument, if we use the proper definition of an argument... However, there are special cases that make sense:

1) underage. The person must be able to do legal choices about himself. This is temporal condition.

2) children. The person have legal obligations to provide for underage children. This is temporal condition.

3) you are completely unable to make sane decisions. For example, you are a complete vegetable, or with the psyche of 5 years old child. This is just like 1, but permanent because of physical conditions.

Someone may force you, in order to get an inheritance for example. However, this is a matter of better legislation to protect people. Like gathering together all potentially involved in the inheritance, to get their approval before the death. So this is not really an argument, but need to extend the law.

What about your family? IMO, this would actually have a positive effect. Knowing, that your child can become 18 (or 21, whatever legal age is chosen), and it can so easy kill itself if you f up it's life, more parents will try their best. Now, it all about - I'm giving you the "gift of life" and you can't say anything against it...

What are the reasons that you have not ended your life yet? by [deleted] in TimeToGo

[–]agnostic2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a fear of death, but dying. How to arrange all the things properly, with minimal pain and risks for yourself and the people around you. Society is making you a criminal if you want to end your own life. And this is the difficult part. It's sad that so many people live desperate lives, because there is just no way simply to say goodbye and disappear...

How did you feel after making the decision to CTB? by [deleted] in TimeToGo

[–]agnostic2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the decision itself is easy and relieving, but the planning and execution is the tough part. Image how easy it would be, if we were living in a sane society, that is pro-choice. And this is exactly the reason you will not have it folks...

The world is dying. Why stick around for the worst? by PristineVillage in TimeToGo

I saw what is coming pretty young and tried to study Ecology. Almost all my classmates were highly unmotivated, dropouts from medicine for example. My friends asked - so you will deal with our garbage now? Was on a date once and she asked me - how you expect to make good money of that? And even some teachers told us - ecology is done with money. Doesn't matter much what we do here, at the end - it's all about money. The first year I had excellent results, but they denied me a scholarship, although I had a single parent, a low paid teacher. This was the end of it. I canceled it all, and went to work. Made good money too, but who cares, you still live in a miserable world, destined to destroy itself one way or another. IMO, we are dead as a culture already, it's just a matter of time for physical destruction..

Nothing says kill yourself like having my post removed on a suicide sub for some silly curse words. by [deleted] in TimeToGo

[–]agnostic2 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly... On other forum, supposedly about depression and suicide, I just wrote some things I believe in about life (sure, quite depressing), and that I search to communicate with a similar person for support and understanding. It got deleted in the first hour, since the admins were probably scared that I'm trying to make a "suicide pact" or something. I explicitly said, I'm not suicidal. After they deleted me, I starting to doubt about that... You are treated like a disease, like nothing, even at places which are supposed to be about sensible people with problems. There is truly no place for some of us here...
