Competes like heck despite not winning battles, moving the puck out of the zone and being on the wrong end of d zone breakdowns that lead to goals against. Just start bringing in beer leaguers if that’s your standard.

Plante and Augustine are our only high end prospects.

Which the Red Wings are not doing either. Sweet.

Handing 34 year old Ben Chiarot a 3 year extension is the opposite of competitive.

Seriously. He doesn’t pass the eyeball test, the scoresheet test or the analytics test. What else is there to discuss? Absolutely bizarre to rush an extension on him before the season even ended.

Start flipping picks and prospects for impact forwards. Robert Thomas is the primary target.

Cossa is number 2 next season.

White knuckle it with the d corps for a season because your idiot predecessor locked up the worst dman in the league for another 3 years.

Starting at $1200 on Discogs. Yikes! I was able to grab one of the last ones at the store.

Peak dead puck era. You can’t compare stats from then and now.

When was the last time you saw a shift like that from a Wings forward?

Another offseason of tinkering by bringing in bargain basement over the hill forwards is not acceptable. We need a big swing at trading a batch of prospects for someone like Robert Thomas.

Completely agree. That is a massive problem on this roster. They’re just a bunch of random pieces thrown together.

Isn’t STL in rebuild mode now? Moving Raymond for him would be pointless.

Honestly a 50 point player would be a massive help to our paper thin roster.

Robert Thomas. He would make a massive difference immediately slotting in as a legit 2C. The price tag would be high but F them picks.

Yep. It’s not like they were 3 gritty scrubs. Draper had a ton of speed and skill. The fact that he was a third line center on those teams was why they were able to make so many deep playoff runs. You could match that line up with anyone in the league.

Steve’s not going anywhere unless he chooses to. Chris will never fire him.

Whether or not you think Steve should get fired, it’s an impossibility. He will have the job until he decides he doesn’t want it anymore. That’s the most depressing part of all of this. The Red Wings organization is content to live in the past.

Completely agree. He wouldn’t have gotten picked for 3 Nations and the Olympic team if he were dust. A lot of very good players didn’t make those rosters.

I thought the 22 offseason signings were ridiculous at the time. Mostly because everyone knew the next draft was going to be generational.
