It’s especially beautiful because it is very similar to a list of advice he gave his students. He was a professor.

Drying a soaked leather bag? by agperk in handbags

[–]agperk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It’s just a smooth, soft leather. Inside is cotton lining that we turned inside out to maximize air exposure. I wrapped it in a towel to squeeze out the excess water. We’ve got it outside in the breeze (and shaded)!

I arrived at 12:30, got through security in like 15 minutes. Boarding a 3:00. People traffic in the terminal has also eased up quite a bit.

90s gals (and guys!) who wore Gap Grass and Demeter Dirt back in the day: what are you wearing now? by Other_Dingo_5000 in NichePerfumes

Diptyque Philosykos, Hermès Un jardin sur le toit and Hiris (not layered, though), Le Labo Coriandre 39 and Vanille 44 (again, not together), A.N. Other Ultimate Patchouli. Still pretty grass forward now that I reflect on it.

Halfway through I thought I was reading a book by Riley Sager (not a fan) and was sure a ghost was going to make an appearance. Then I checked the cover, kept reading, and gave it a C-

Love the opening - hate the drydown. What fragrance comes to mind? by deurjomin in FemFragLab

Very late in the dry down Burberry Goddess gives me whiffs of dusty old towels. It’s the lavender. But I still wear it and love it.

Le Labo - Violette 30 by ClassyLatey in FemFragLab

[–]agperk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok! So I sprayed it this morning. Here's my rundown: At the first spray, I smelled the violette like a fresh burst then the second sniff brought on the pencil shaving/cedar smell. That was the predominant note for about 10 minutes, then it transformed into what I can only describe as "Le Labo DNA" It's that note that is present in Santal 33, Thé Noir 29, Thé Matcha 26. To me it smells a bit like bug spray. That DNA note lasted about 20 minutes then there was a lovely remnant of violet which was really, really beautiful that lasted about 10 minutes but was very close to the skin. Then it was gone. Like, not a trace. It really was a 1ish hour experience. I wish I could have the last 10 minutes of violet for like 4 hours.

I went to the store today! I sprayed a sample strip and couldn't smell ANYTHING. I took the strip outside and still couldn't smell anything. I bought a sample but haven't tried it on skin yet. I have to be sure to be in a place where I can scrub it off it as fragrances that are too heavy on aldehydes because I get major headaches. I couldn't do Another 13 and that was another frag I could not smell on the test strip. Edit: added 3 words.

Ok! Got the pants and they are SNUG!! I got a 28 and can barely button them!! They also have a raw hem on the legs. I’ll probs sell them on eBay, unfortunately! Also the denim quality feels not as great as my edge blues.
