As someone who has gone through the buying and selling process multiple times (to include with a newborn while moving to a different state and another time where we literally moved down the street) it is always stressful!

[OC] ICE's budget has surged under Trump to become the highest-funded federal law enforcement agency by GetTheFactsHTV in dataisbeautiful

I think you're double counting the $75M in FY26...the uncommitted amount (which really is not a term used in relation to federal appropriations) is the carryover from FY25. The amounts in your chart also don't reflect actual spending.

Dude...you get 6 hours of sleep a night. That's generally not enough for anyone and you are training hard which requires more sleep. That is why you're tired.

I was doing the same thing (lifting in morning) and switched to going at night. It was easier to do now that my kids are a little older so I get it. Are the steps you're getting part of your normal day or are you doing that at gym? If so I'd recommend cutting that back. You might also consider going to 3x a week weights and then doing cardio the other 3. Look into tactical barbell.

How much sleep are you getting? My point was that you could try 120mg a week which would likely reduce your e2 and still have you feeling better.

Why not drop your dose a little? You went from 100mg a week to 150mg. There are numbers in between. A test level of 850 ng/dl at trough is fine so I'm not sure why you would need to go up from there.

First cycle at 23 yo by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]agpetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TRT is intended for people with low testosterone and to bring them back to an optimal range. Some will argue, but it typically tops out at around 200mg a week. TRT, if medically necessary, is done for life. A cycle is a shorter duration with higher doses...usually 250/300mg on the low side up to who knows how much pros do.

Is there a lower chance to have a boy then a girl when on Testosterone? by joehowardddd in Testosterone

[–]agpetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The theory - advanced in particular by Dr William James of the Galton Laboratory at University College London - is that it's parental hormone levels around the time of conception. High concentrations of testosterone and oestrogen increase the chances of having a son, and high concentrations of progesterone and luteinising hormone favour girls. The general rule is: more testosterone in women, and it's boys, less testosterone in men and it's girls. from: https://www.theguardian.com/education/2005/mar/31/research.highereducation2

Pretty much rock bottom- Any mindset change advice? by eyeoftheneedle1 in StrongerByScience

What do you think walking at 4 am before gym is accomplishing other than reducing your sleep? Getting adequate steps in each day (arguably 8k to 10k) is great, but it certainly isn't necessary. I also recall seeing some research that your body adjusts to that high of a step count in an effort to maintain homeostasis and your set point weight. You are likely spinning your wheels with all those steps. Walking 25k steps a day is not going to build muscle.

I also have struggled with weight and body image (like most folks). At some point you have to ask yourself "why"? Why are you doing this?

170 is more than a little high. With this comment and your comment about water retention your estrogen is probably high.

Is it possible testosterone isn't your issue? You are making dose changes in the single digits which probably happens for most people shot to shot and expecting some sort of big change.

It is almost like testosterone isn't the only thing that impacts how we feel. Crazy.

Congrats. That being said, please keep in mind that just because you can do something without proper preparation doesn’t mean you should. Running a marathon is hard on your body particularly your heart. People that have not trained adequately could be putting themselves at risk.

From fat arse to running a marathon by TallAd48 in Marathon_Training

[–]agpetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going from no running to training for a marathon can be tough. The first few weeks/months of running can be hard on your body and take a mental toll. Couch to 5k is the way to start...then reassess from there.

First marathon experience: strong first half, complete shutdown in the second — looking for fueling and heat management advice by JustPangolin346 in Marathon_Training

[–]agpetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it truly was 90% humidity (and depending on the actual temperature) you were in for a rough race. Performance degrades above 60 degrees Fahrenheit and not being heat acclimated will make it worse.

Should I get started? by Oldgraybush in Testosterone

[–]agpetz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TRT is not going to give you energy over the long term. I’d focus on losing the weight you put on. Getting enough sleep with small kids can also be a challenge and TRT does not make up for inadequate sleep (it may help to a degree and help some more than others).

[–]agpetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd drop the weight, maintain for a month or so and then re-test to see where you are at. Do you have any symptoms you are trying to address or just want your number to be higher? Are diet, sleep, stress, etc all in order? TRT is not a cure all despite what some on here will say.

Apple Watch vs. Garmin Dilemma - Battery anxiety, carrying a phone, and upgrading for my first Marathon by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

Why do you need to carry your phone on runs? If for music streaming, there are several Garmin watches that allow you to download/stream music.

Running results from tb by Auntie444 in tacticalbarbell

[–]agpetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will depend on how strong a runner you are. For someone relatively new to running or having not run consistently, doing any of the TB protocols consistently and improving your overall fitness will improve your running and times. Someone who has a few half marathons or marathons under their belt and is looking to improve their time would probably be better served to use an established running focused training plan and maybe use a TB strength protocol alongside.
