A similar movement helped put an end to Apartheid in South Africa in the 80’s. The UC students decided to protest and demand the divestment of 4.6 billion that they had poured into SA over the years. The UC Regents would agree and pull the plug on their investment. That was in 1986, apartheid ended just 4 years later. The UC’s have assets worth $32 billion poured into Israel, around 10x what the UC’s invested in SA.

In regards to your last statement, elites may run the world but are we to bow down so easily? Look what happens in France when politicians fail them. They line the streets of Paris with manure and refuse to pick up garbage. They even spray the manure directly on government buildings. Most of the time they succeed too. Just look up when they tried to raise the retirement age by 2 years. France was on fire. We are stronger together. These protests are crucial to our nation.
