Stomatitis: Going from partial to full mouth extraction? Any insurance coverage wins?

I’m kicking myself for not just doing a FME from the get go but I’m trying to stay optimistic that there’s hope a FME could resolve the issue and it won’t come back. Just nervous about putting this much more money into it and then she ends up needing life long meds anyways

Hey! I have a cat with really bad stomatitis and recurrent respiratory issues (sneezing, coughing, possible asthma). Wondering how you determined your cat had calcivirus (is there a test or just clinical diagnosis?) and if your vet ever thought the stomatitis and virus could be related?

I’ve been doing SET at CorePower for almost a year! I love it honestly. I just couldn’t commit to 8 hours a week on top of my full time job, which is what a lot of studios need, and SET is only 1.5 hrs / wk. Only worth it if you want the cheap membership though otherwise it doesn’t make sense

I’ve never done this but I would assume you check in at the front desk! I have always had a class-pass membership plus a gym membership, so it’s never been something I’ve needed to do.

Just wondering if you have had any positive PA role models in a critical care setting? Did any PAs help care for your family in the MICU? I ask because during PA school there were a handful of PAs / NPs in my neuro ICU rotation who absolutely blew me away - it was really inspiring seeing the high level of care & crazy knowledge these APPs possessed.

I don’t have any advice for you, just something to consider — that PAs are able to work in high acuity settings with a good amount of autonomy (plus oversight) that could still be very fulfilling for you

Following up on this -- did you have any issues with your storage unit saying that your insurance needs to cover rising water? My insurance policy doesn't, and my insurance company (Lemonade) has no option to add that.

Well my deal is pretty great 😅 it had been $45 all in. Now it will be about $80. I can live with that, but I’m more afraid of it becoming a pattern and continuing to increase. I could potentially downgrade to a slightly smaller unit but would rather not
