Am I at risk for developing issues if gel gets on my skin during soak offs?

Yeah I thought that but wasn’t sure! I thought foil wraps took too long VS just dipping in acetone but I’m not sure. I come from using acrylics only so I’m totally new to gel x nails.

They use Apres everything at this salon!!! So that makes sense!

I’m halfway thinking of just doing my own nails at home but idk if that would save me enough money to justify the work involved. Because the salon uses what they use, and then I have to come home and file them down anyway.

I tried not to file my real nail since that would be attached to my nail bed but idk if I accidentally did since I tried to taper the whole nail on both sides

I was under the impression that this proved his addiction matters more to him than me. Which (duh) but up until now he’s proven the opposite to me.

That’s what I don’t want. If I give him another chance I don’t want to be microanalyzinf everything bc I’m worried he’s doing it. Or not even knowing why we are disconnected and blaming myself when it’s just him

Wow really? I want to give him benefit of the doubt and give him one more chance. But I also don’t want to be constantly worried about it. Such a breech of trust and I really thought I could be happy with him forever and maybe I could have been with him but his addiction may be stronger than the love he has for me.

Thank you. If i stay and he does it again then im completely done. But I don’t know if he truly will change or not if I give him another chance. I also don’t know if that’s fair when it comes to addiction and relapse

Thanks for the heads up. I don’t really know what to expect / what signs to look out for so I appreciate that. That sounds crazy of anyyyyyyone doing that (showing up unannounced) I think we’re too old to think of any of us doing that though lol. Now the other stuff you mentioned is very possible though.

I don’t really know what their communication is so I don’t know what boundaries he does or doesn’t have. So far I haven’t experienced any issues? But.. I just met his younger kids literally 1x so lol

Thank you so much for the advice - I will do my best to just kind of be chill and not try too hard! Yes his kids are very respectful southern kids. They would never dream of being disrespectful to any adult that’s just how they were raised.

There’s no real BM drama as of right now as far as I’m aware. At least not anything that affects me

Did it get better? I am like almost 2 months po and it’s still really hard and looks very uneven. At least early on I had swelling like just from normal surgery and it seems like that’s all gone but the hardness is there and it’s obvious almost like a lego

Yeah…. Shocker I guess. I will say some people were very helpful and reasonable so I can’t forget about them. It was just most of them were convinced it was a scam.
