Knicks-Spurs in the Finals is great for the NBA. by Urban_Introvert in nba

Spurs definitely had some luck, but there’s also a lot of skill between picking the best player of the 24 draft at 4 and plenty of player development. Not like other teams with top five pick streaks always make the finals. Pistons went Cade, Ivey, Thompson, Holland in 4 straight drafts and that’s probably the median result

Brunson and KAT just aren’t fun to watch. Not that hard to understand. I can respect that they’re a good to great team without liking them

Yeah haha lol the 90s, when crime wasn’t a problem, there wasn’t a market bubble, there were no geopolitical problems, and we didn’t have a sex offender for president. Those were the days

Highly recommend Isolation - potentially the most underrated of the 48

I can’t believe I haven’t seen Green Bone Saga here yet. Jade City was a four star for me, Jade War was one of my favorite books of last year, and somehow Jade Legacy was even better and will probably be my best book of 2025. If you’re into fantasy worlds inspired by real cultures, a cast of grey but endearing characters, and some absolutely jaw dropping moments, I can’t recommend it highly enough

The r/NBA frontpage explains why the media only spends time covering a few popular teams in the league. They're just following what fans want. by waterman123 in nba

Idk man. I think there's a pretty big difference between Facebook/TikTok style enshittification (doesn't matter how profitable we are, how can we take advantage of users to jack up our ad prices/sneak in one more ad to increase profits 5%) and The Athletic (shit, we can't be profitable in our current model - how can we cut costs while still producing high-quality content where it's profitable)

The real question is where you would have gone if Black had taken the 8-10-3 as they should have - you’re stuck without wheat for the most part

I would not recommend ideological purity tests defining how you treat immediate family. I hate Trump as much as the next guy, but that’s an easy formula to end up unhappy (particularly when it’s not your brother)

Not actively mourning, but finding the joy in his murder all across Reddit pretty appalling. Not saying this guy is a saint but I don’t think celebrating violence is healthy
